Similar idea to picture block puzzles in which you move your target piece through other pieces to get to where you want it. Instead he left it alone. Dan noticed it and said something when he highlighted it but Arin moved past it and distracted Dan from continuing further with his idea.

There's quite a few VNs that end up getting adapted into an anime and they have to cut out a whole bunch of junk due to VN's commonly non-linear format. Steins;Gate, Island, Grisaia, Rewrite, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Danganronpa would be a few more examples.

I love these sorts of games cause... while gameplay isn’t super intense, the puzzles can be too easy or weird, the stories are typically a solid 6-7, and the artwork is top notch, very aesthetic! I feel like this game is just meant to kill time in car rides, or for people who like those thinner mystery books with cooking or knitting themes. It has a higher focus on artwork, and story.

If anyone from game grumps reads these, the nutcracker Christmas special did get me through a rly depressed newly sober holiday. It ment a lot that you finished it and I kept checking for it's updates daily, I wouldn't finish an episode in one sitting but it kept me going through a very cold time. Thank you I love these.

a pretty fun game in this genre is Dark Parables: The Curse of Briar Rose (and the other games in the dark parables series) !! i would recommend checking it out if you guys wanna continue this style of game

I really hope they start playing the Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst games one day. Those games were an amazing part of my childhood (even though I barely played the first one, only the second and third one).

I've actually played this. It's one of the weaker hidden object games. Try the Dark Parables series. I recommend the Frog Prince. It has some beautiful artwork and some actually fun puzzles.
