I actually think that sym is a great sigma counter. You build charge of shield, and go through his succ so his only defensive option against you is really just killing you which can be hard if you pressure him with another dps or your tank. AND your turrets go through his shield, allowing extra dps on him even if you dont have charge.

If you need to counter Pharah but suck at playing hitscan characters, (I'm terrible at playing Ashe or Soldier 76 😂) pick Echo. When you see Pharah use the Jump Jet, immediately use Flight to get close, and you can easily kill Pharah with Sticky Bomb + Focusing Beam.

As a sojourn main when It comes to dps I believe she is a major counter to mei, as soon as mei goes in her little healing block I always throw a disruption orb on her right before she gets out so she starts taking damage immediately and makes her a really easy spray down 👍👍

As a brig main, I think that pharah counters her better than junk, because u cant hit her at all and your shield get destroyed really fast by her rockets. When you play brig against pharah u just wanna run away and avoid open spaces

I play brig a lot and honestly both feel like a super uphill battle to play against, the odds of you dying against random splash damage against both is pretty high and even though you teeeechnically can approach junk rat for a fight if you get into that melee range odds are he’ll just burst you down instantly

As much as I HATE Symmetra (mainly because the ones playing her are the first to go “ez”) you’re right. She’s great with a lot of comps and forces the enemy team to play a bit differently. Symmetra, I've found is really good against Reinhardt and Brigitte because she can farm a level three beam off of their shields and then just annihilate them.

I'll add that I personally find symmetra to be a really good versus sigma too. You can use his shield to charge up your beam relatively safely and surprise him with a fully charge beam (plus, he cannot absorb it!) You can either use your turret to slow him down even more or you can use them to protect/distract the enemy dps players bonus tip: sometimes, you can put a teleport near the enemy dps/supports to trick them into shooting it. it can be just distracting enough to setup your turret or to finish chasing the tank. Just remember to call it to your team so they know it's not a good teleport to use (some people will see a teleport and use it without even checking where it goes, which is not great when you end up in the middle of a fight xD)

Also genji. Ninja boi's number one move is to dive behind the tank, take out a healer or problematic DPS, and back out with his deflect. Syms turrets slow him down and syms beam goes right through deflect to confirm the kill. Just play a little more support help and you won't have a genji problem anymore.

For pharah I honestly wouldn’t recommend Ashe as much as the other hitscans bc as someone who plays Ashe often, pharah can just dive u and get in your face to get a quick kill especially on close-quarters maps like Nepal. Cass is probably the best counter to her overall but it’s generally a map specific matchup

I think Junkrat is also a good pick for countering Mei. Mines in particular can launch you out of her ult, and you can leave traps and mines around her when she retreats into her ice block.

One interesting thing though is that mei can free herself and allies from junkrat traps using her ice wall, if she lifts a trapped target up on top of a wall it will instantly break the trap. overall though as someone who plays mei a lot yeah id agree, junkrat can be hard to play against because his burst damage is so high that a lot of times he can pseudo one shot you before you can react with ice block

Soujourn I found works really good against ball. You wait until they commit to the second dive then as soon as they drop in you railgun crit. Immediately puts him at half and while he tries to run you charge and get another railgun off. Even if you don't kill it's an easy way to turn for your team that leaves the enemy with a scared tank.

Hanzo is a good counter for Reaper, but a better one is Soldier: 76 as he has a better range and can use sprint to run if Reaper is too close or to chase a Reaper after he uses wraith to escape. With a tracer counter, I recommend Kiriko as luck can easily 1 shot tracer, she can use cleanse to cancel bomb, and she can stall a tracer so she runs out of blinks. If times are you for Kiriko, she can teleport out.

With smart turret placement and control of high ground with teleporter, I've never really felt the need to swap to handle a Pharah because you just take away her major advantage of being able to reach any location. Turrets are the best flank detectors in the game and they prevent all of her sneaky plays.

Just be aware that if Rein knows the Bastion is there and has good communication, Rein will often wait turret out then resume the push while instructing his team to find cover to preserve shield. Experienced Reins do well in team-brawls too if they can catch the Bastion out of position. Bastion is a good counter but he has to play carefully.

Master Rein here. Even waiting out his form, it's not like Bastion has have insignificant amounts of damage out of form. more or less if the Bastion forms correctly, you will not have shield or at best a 1-300 HP shield. shield recharge time and cooldown for sentry form are similar enough that if the Bastion isn't outright killing you, he's still heavily restricting your movement. particularly on the aggressive side, going for pins w/o shield OR knowing Sentry can be up within 4 seconds is a death sentence unless your healers are ready to heal that massive damage output or you have good follow up positioning in sightlines. TL:DR Rein's an amazing hero who still has counterplay against his counters, even in our best played matches Bastion heavily restricts your movement and carry potential.

A good Winston can shield dance and wreck Reaper. The constant lightning damage doesn't get healed off by the time he can shoot his way through the shield and if he pops wraith then Winston can jump after him. There's a lot of factors with that, the biggest being player skill... Since he has a big head, a long range character does well against him, maybe force him to pop his shield early so he will have to lose space. Pharah or Echo are honorable mentions, but I personally never feel very threatened by reapers when I'm Monke

As a zen main i do think that tracer is not the worst of the counters, if you actually are grouped with other teammate you can easily do 120 to tracer with discord orb and a headshot and then when she is 30 hp she can either use recall or just die , and not to mention that if you headshot her and melee her you actually oneshot her, i would say that its not a counter matchup imo its a skill matchup , i would say that against sombra is pretty much the worst tipe of matchup, she just one shots you because you had an actual only shield hp bar, a huge hitbox and a 40% more dmg boost is actually imposible to be against unless you had a bap or a zarya in your team that can actually save you

I would argue that genji is a better counter to ana than widow - he's fast and tends to constantly be jumping around, making him hard to hit with a sleep dart or a shot from the rifle. And he can reflect sleep darts. Widow vs ana is only slightly tilted to benefit widow, since if she doesn't get a one shot kill the ana can heal and ana has just as far of a range as the widow, even if it takes ana 3 bodyshots to kill while the widow only has to land one headshot. I enjoy fighting widows as ana because it's fun. I hate dealing with genji. But I only have like 60 hours in the game, so don't take me too seriously.

Hanzo is a better counter to bastion than genji. Btw genjis, dont jump infront of bastions with deflect it only works in bronze. Get close range to them and dance around them spamming right click and wall jumps. Move unpredictably and make him play with 1000000 edpi. Deflect can save you but dont rely on it to kill the bastion.

I never would have picked Mei against Dva and played Symmetra instead or Reaper against Orisa. Symmetra would be a better counter, obviously with healing. She can ramp beam on shield and put way more pressure on him. Rein vs Reaper is probably a skill based 1v1
