Great run. You are a master digger. Digging without ladders is so much faster. Are you planning another run anytime soon? It would be great if you did a speedrun guide, explaining the necessary research and tips for players who want to try it.

Was planned to have a forest start speedrun. But Forest is so much harder and slower. Me not yet found a good way to get to finish in 40-ish cycles. Speedrun guide may be a good idea. More people doing this can come up more ideas to run it better.

you said it a previous thing that you needed to go to the oil biome for lime you could use pokeshells and crush their shed in the rock crusher would that work?

Yes it helps, a little bit. You can't get much lime from pokeshells in 40cycles.

閭山渡真 Unfortunately rocket launch speedrun is limited by dupes' leveling speed. Rocket can be built in 30ish cycles but after that it will be a long waiting.

Why the zig zag pattern when digging down? To allow less bad air up?

Zig zag pattern lets diggers keep doing all of the digging errands without waiting for another dupe to do hauling and building errands for ladders unless there are sand tile on the path or high pressure liquid pocket nearby which caused Mae's death :(

Hey give it a try. I wasn't that "good" at games nor ONI. I didn't have pro build or outstanding thing proud to share. I do this only because I love this game. Speedrunning this game was my showerthought only. I gathered some info at that night: how much steel water food do I need? After I just gave it a try. Eventually you will get familiar and become "good". But the most important part is you need to feel having fun to do this :)

Great achievement. Looks like a 38 should be possible though ;-) Really interesting to see your strategies for prioritising. I wonder though whether the ladder built to the right of your water tank would have saved time on dupes movement if it was built as a whole ladder rather than alternate segments?

Thanks. I believe it is possible too. If my water pool is right under my lime production it may cut half cycle off with less supplying distance. The reason that ladder on the right built like this only to save building and supply time (I thought I would). It actually slow down movement speed. You can do a rocket build speedrun but not rocket launch speedrun. Since launching a rocket is hard-gated by dupes' level now.

@@jaidejasigne If no need to launch, I can build it right next to my base. I should able to get it done sub 30 cycles. Since I need 2600 steel only. A lot less power, resource, food.... simply require less everything except I need to research faster.

I found a way to lunch a rocket at cycle 55 without mods.

you need to pick an quick learner with +7 sience,to launch a rocket at ~day 50... there should be the ability to fly a rocket without the pilot skill,klei could put an penalty like +200% flytime on that...

Love the idea of zigzagging for the digging. I really hate it when they run so far dig two tiles and run back. Wastes so much time. I'll be stealing that thank you
