Yeah, that’s pretty terrifying. SC is a great tool I use for nearly everything.

I did this last update and my project is running slowly. After removing from my code display_reset(0, true); the game went back to running normally without any slowdown. I wouldn't have a problem with vsync?

That I’m not sure about. This update does seem to have some issues though. Might be best to roll back for a little bit

@@LetsLearnThisTogether I've already gone back to the previous version, but wanted to use the optional arguments :(. I'll wait for new updates thanks.

This update has messed up my game. It doesn’t compile anymore when it was compiling fine in the previous version like seven hours ago. I reverted back to 2.3.2.560 for now and everything seems to be compiling as usual.

Yeah, I’m actually noticing some errors as well, just simple things that aren’t working.. gotta report them to YoYo so they can fix them.

@@vocenaoentendeunada2505 amigo eh so vc entrar nesta pagina gms.yoyogames.com/ReleaseNotes.html , depois clicar em older versions e escolher a versao anterior que vc deseja e realizar os mesmos passos, desinstalar a versao nova e instalar a versao antiga, ele vai fazer sugerir remover a versao atual assim que vc instalar a versao antiga.

@@vocenaoentendeunada2505 Trocar o runtime em preferences me ajudou também, nem precisei desinstalar, foi só reverter o runtime.

GMS2 doesn't even have proper Y sort without some crazy ass workarounds. I've moved over to Godot and I have never looked back.

isnt y sort depth u can change that simply in the room editor on one of the side panels just drag objects higher or lower than others

ummm,... Thanks, but I'll stay on Unity, until GameMaker cares about the canvas for the GUI / UI and stops using DRAW for everything especially buttons and text.

That's the main weak point for GM, and yet it isn't a big priority for Yoyo unfortunately. Drawing is so outdated and tedious. I hate it. People on the yoyo forums act like drawing isn't a big deal, but it really is a big deal. My game has a ton of UI and most of my dev time goes to freakin drawing GUI, or simply just moving GUI around if I want to re-position it. We aren't the only ones. I keep hearing complaints on this from the forums, and some youtube videos. And even Heartbeast said he didn't like this and is one reason why he switched to Godot. It labels itself as the ultimate 2D game engine, and yet it simply doesn't have a canvas for GUI. This is one of those things that should already be in the engine, you would think anyway. I completely understand you staying with Unity. I was thinking of switching to Unity or Godot.

@@Mk2kRaven Everything you said is true, when GMS worries about GUI / UI it will be strong on mobiles, for now it is only for computer games. On the other hand I recommend UNITY it is very very very good, Godot is good, but it is not as good as Unity, the main reason why fans in development choose GODOT is because Godot does not have a logo at the beginning and is totally Open Source , royalty-free. Unity is free but you have to use the logo, if you don't want the logo you have to pay. It is fair for an engine that is much more powerful than godot and game maker. I don't mind that my games have the Unity logo on them, and I don't mind paying Unity when I make over $ 100,000 for the year.
