Great videos, and great classes on Udemy and your LLTT classes. I think this should work for any resolution instead of using the 1.7777... if(camera_width / camera_height == prev_width / prev_height && (prev_width == camera_width || prev_height == camera_height))

thanks alot! what bugged me still with both these cameras is the slight "twitch" you get when you get to the room limit of the zoom out

Cool I wonder how this could work with the player jumping = zoom out then landing zooms back in

Does anyone know how to do this in DnD? I found "Set/Get View Variable" but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the settings.

thank you for the great tutorials. i followed along with the video and ended up with a working camera system for panning and zooming. however i am having trouble with drawing GUIs on to it. the GUI follows the camera but the scale is wrong. when zooming in and out, the GUI zooms with it. I am using the DrawGUI event, and only drawing text. i have not tried drawing sprites or anything else. i am calling camera_apply() at the beginning of DrawGUI. i messed around with display_set_gui_size() and display_set_gui_maximize() with different arguments. No matter what i do, nothing changes anything and the GUI stays at the same scale and zooms with the camera. Has anyone tried drawing a GUI with this camera setup and got it to work? if so please share how you did it or better make a video about it.

nice tutorial. I have one problem though, when I implement the conditional with the width/height==1.78 it skips right through it even though the it's 1.78. Any help?
@LetsLearnThisTogether2 жыл бұрын
I’d suggest checking it with a >= instead of specifically ==. It will catch it when it’s close but not exact.
@jthehandsome2 жыл бұрын
@@LetsLearnThisTogether solved it with that, but now i have another problem. That same conditional is being executed even when the screen distorts and the ratio is less than the interval i have put (1.77 to 1.78)

Excellent tutorials! Easy to follow and clear. Thanks so much! Any chance you could do a video on how to keep a static background while zooming?
@LetsLearnThisTogether3 жыл бұрын
Hmm. Can you be more specific? I’m not quite sure what you’re asking for. You want one image that doesn’t move while zooming?
@kwylde3 жыл бұрын
@@LetsLearnThisTogether Yes, that's exactly it. One image that acts as the background, and which displays the same even if zooming in/out or moving around the room
