The brightness in the RGB fans usually slows them down too so i think its to reduce noise or sound when in low use situtions my game max case used to dim the fans and slow them down with each click and if you want the RGB at full brightness the fans need to be on full or controlled through Mo Bo Gamemax are Solid in my experience still using their AIO 18 months on still chilled like day one

Very intriguing pc case 🤯🤩🥰 I love the 200mm cooling fans and they provide decent airflow at a lower sound level and rpm. Clearly enough air is getting through the front / side intakes 🤯🤩. Obviously the case has fairly good airflow overall and would suite a mid/mid-high tier build. Loved this case after seeing it on your live stream episode recently 😇😆

it is a really good looking case and for the money you can't really complain to much. For me this really needs to be in a slightly lower price category than the F15 and f15M as that is arguably the better case for layout and airflow, but a decent looking case for sure

Great to see a case being reviewed! Imo its a striking case and compared to my F15 I get your comments but once built the way it looks matters most. I think it looks great with those striking rgb effects inc the wraith cpu cooler for added effect! Modern , futuristic and clean design imo. If I could say anything negative it would be the cleaning needed to keep that front panel looking sharp hahaha! Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath, have a great weekend👍

nice case the blanking plates should not be a problem i keep ones that i used on previous cases or you could get some on ebay ,where there is a will there is a way so blanking plates are not exactly a problem i have many parts for these kind of situations and for other boards and cases that i keep just in case there is a customer out there.

Forgive my potentially stupid questions Mike but I’m a total noob, this will be mine and my sons first build! Will I need to buy a additional lead for the fan hub to connect to motherboard? I’ll only be using it for the included case fans, also I see it comes with screws but does it come with stand-off screws or do I need them for this particular case? Your advice would be much appreciated

I've got a theory, along with Be Quiet some cases are using the side-front vents and shutting off the front. I'm wondering if the side vents allow better static pressure if the front is sealed. A bit like a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle seems to have more suction. I'm also wondering if the fan manufacturers have cottened on to this potential new category of fan by adjusting angles of fan blades and casing to allow more air from the side to flow through rather than the front - specially for side-front vented cases. It may be just fluke that these are angled just right for side vents, but then if they were designed with this case in mind, it might have influenced the design. Who knows. If manufacturers cotton on to this idea... I think it could result in a lot more flexibility in case design. Also I would like to see some kind of new front bay standard, as whilst Apple started a trend in optical drive-less design, people still want removable drives or.. front panel card readers etc. If case manufacturers have these front-side vents, in combination with say, side panel fans, it could allow space again for these expansions. As expansions drive the industry, it might be something case manufacturers (if you are reading this) could start thinking about

Hi Mike. Nice case but totally pointless putting 200mm fans in the front if they are starved of airflow due to case material blocking the back of the fans, and also it's probably a dust magnet with unfiltered front edge vents. Great review as always cheers Mike and Kath.

the material doesn't block much to be fair, the air just funnels in where it can and the static pressure increases

Did you plug the fans directly into a PWM header on the MOBO individually or did you use the PWM function on the controller

you can do either, i prefer to use the motherboard headers if possible

I have just built my pc in this case with a gigabyte aorus b550 pro ac motherboard and for some reason i cant get the arbg on the fans to work. Fortunately i have the blue green white colour scheme matched to the res of my system.

FYI: The "Cooler Master MasterFan MF200R, 200mm ARGB Addressable RGB Fans" will fit - retailing for about £22 ea. The only downside is that they are 3 Pin, NOT 4 Pin PMW. But I managed to control their speed via the MSI Centre. (MSI M/B).

This was a very informative review. It is a nice case, but I think that it leaves a lot to be desired imo. The front i/o panel design on the C3 is better because it is easier to see and access from any position and has that turbo fan, the Precision mid-tower case has a better bottom filter because it is on a tray, and it would be better if it it had a dust filtering mess front panel like the CM MB511 argb case. I'm also not a fan of the 200mm fan size, I prefer 120. That said, it has its perks. The removable hard drive sled is nice and it isn't one of those that is made up of several pieces, it is once solid cage. It isn't the only Gamemax case that has the VGA holder bit it is nice to see that included. The additional argb ring on the back compliments the front ring really nicely in terms of looks. The brightness button is going to be something that differs from person to person, but nice to have and you can use it to further your argb customization a bit further. The two jacks for audio and mic is also nice.

Do you perhaps know where I can get a custom made case? Right now I'm set on the CM MB511 ARGB but I want to cover all my options first. Just in case it isn't clear for whoever is reading this, the C3 and Precision are other Gamemax Cases and the MB511 argb is made by Cooler Master hence the CM abbreviation.
