Blizzard should’ve done the movie based on arthas’s story. It is without a doubt the best lore in the Warcraft universe. A 6 part movie franchise of the rise and fall of the live king could be the epic movies we will never see

Yousuf Ibrahim I get what you’re saying but I don’t fully agree. I think actual lore doesn’t always have to imply with movies, a round up with narrative at the start of movies is a great way to get a lot of vital information across before the actual story begins. With Warcraft, I imagine a lot would have to be altered or stripped to some degree though

Peter Carena that’s the thing though. GoT is a long-running series. Think of just how much content lead up to the Lich King. There’s the background on who the heroes are, who the alliance are, and that’s the whole WoW universe. And then there’s just the content involving the Lich King, which is basically all of Northrend, and all the dungeons, and much of that content is disconnected, and only loosely tied together because of the player. There’s simply too much content to make a movie meaningful. A long-running series maybe, but good luck getting a halfway descent writer to write that much, let alone the budget... it’d easily exceed the cost of making WoW 2.0, which will be in the hundreds of millions, if not billions.

For a example the dollar used to be backed up equally with gold bars however with to little gold and a extremely fast growing economy this was abandoned even though the gold wasn't around doesn't imply the currency lost all value it's simply become less valuable with a saturated economy just as the price of gold would go down if a large amount of gold was introduced into the market as more money is put out then brought in by the Federal Bank the dollar greatly lowers in value. Just as proven by this real world example that's greatly butchered and only technically true due to over simplification growth can lead to loss but evolution is still moving forward. Just like a cockroach Warcraft refuses to die no matter how hard a hit it takes it keeps on a surviving and adapting to the changing environment. Who knows the future but damned if that bitch hasn't survived well past it's prime and expected expiration date. People complain about it's downfall but honestly og players and the like should be fucking proud what other game has managed to smash the whole gaming industry so hard it took decades to die? I mean even now when wow has never been hated more millions of subscribers and players exist around the world. Be proud of the old man and let him slowly die in peace and enjoy him while he's here cause fuck if he hasn't shocked everyone with his will to live.

Arthas' story is truly a sad and sorrowful tale, as he was such a misunderstood and tragic character. It will forever be my head canon that the only reason the world didn't fall to the undead lich army, is because of Arthas. That he was doing everything he could to resist the influence of Frostmourne and to sabotage the blades plans when he could. His pushing away and freeing of the deathknights, and undead factions can't be logically explained otherwise. He quite literally pushed his strongest, and most loyal and capable fighters into the hands of his enemy for seemingly no reason, yet from every actual cutscene and cinematic we've seen of him alone, he's shown to be methodic, strategic, and measured... Almost Pensive even, with his actions, recalling his fathers words about using restraint with his great power. Communing with his father's spirit, still seeking his guidance the entire while the allied forces of the world prepared to take him down. His only goal was to save his people from the undead plague, brought about by the legion, fighting an enemy far beyond anyone's ability to stop... And then he realized there was no way to save his people, or even the world itself which would be at stake if the undead continued to spread... At least, there was no way while Lorderon still stood. So he did what he had to do. He killed his father, and collapsed the kingdom he loved and fought for, to make the world realize how big the threat actually was, once the other members of the alliance could no longer hide behind Lorderon as an excuse... Then he became the king of the enemy he was fighting against, so that he could control them, sabotage them from within, and stall them to give the world the time it needed to prepare for the battle to come. All while sacrificing his own soul, and mind to the corruption and influence. Arthas was the real hero of the fight against the undead lich armies. And you cannot convince me otherwise.

@@abhabh6896 Not Exactly, my man :), In spanish we have that exact same line, Its from blizzard too, but its just that its the original line, you see... In the original they had some different lines that were translated into other languages, but after the translation before they released the game, for some reason, Blizzard changed the lines and remade them, but not the translated ones, so in english some cutscenes have some lines and in other languages we have others.

Honestly, I am a big all time fan of english dubs, like, everywhere. But this time around I got to say, the French narration voice of the cinematics was out-of-this-worldly good and on point. How much you could feel Terenas' hope regarding his son, their legacy, their kingdom, yet such a grave and honorable tone, omg. "Je te confie cela, Car lorsque ma vie s'achèvera, Toi, tu seras roi" OMG the chills!

The biggest reason World of Warcraft succeeded was the Arthars story, which left a strong lingering impression on the last part of the Warcraft series. Everyone was curious. So what happens to Lich King next story? The most powerful theme in the Warcraft story was 'corruption', and the strongest character among them was Arthas.
