@@Jay-lz2wc hello Dark Souls senior, I am an Elden Ring junior, I really wanted to play Dark Souls 3 but feel this weird OCD because Im playing the 3rd one before the first, do you recommend me going through 1 and 2 first before 3 or just go straight to 3? I'm leaning towards playing the whole series but would just like some recommendation.
@Jay-lz2wc Жыл бұрын
@apolloisashirt honestly I started with 3 and then moved to 1. It will be easier in some ways and harder in others but I don't think it diminishes your experience to play them out of order Ds3 feels like the more modern game but it expects you to be familiar with the franchise (or at least the concepts it uses) already. Certain things in 1 will be frustrating as a newbie (ex. Spending highly limited upgrade mats, you can't reset your stats without mods in ds1...)
@apolloisnotashirt Жыл бұрын
@@Jay-lz2wc Ah I see, I'd say I'm pretty experienced then as I've beat Elden Ring like 9 times already. BUT I did also notice something when I was playing Bloodborne, I was much more easier to anger in this game. I dont know if it was the shitty quality I was playing it on, or if I had to gather buffs, bullets, AND HEALS in order to be able to have a chance against the mid game bosses or if it was the feeling that the world was really tight and constricted. The experience I'm having with bloodborne is a bit less compared to Elden Ring but still a good experience nonetheless. I'll do as you said though, I'll buy DS3 and play it when I got time. Thanks a bunch! edit: its been 7 months and I decided to buy DS1 a few months ago, finished it 6 times by now. ALSO I FELL IN LOVE WITH BLOODBORNE ITS SO GOOD

A great performance of the pieces, but I feel like Gwyn's theme loses a bit of the meaning behind it when played by a full orchestra. After fighting countless gods, demons, monsters, and men to the time of booming orchestras and screaming choirs, having the final boss theme be just a simple piano piece really enforces the tragedy behind the fight.
@nathanjora76274 жыл бұрын
The Original Zatharax That’s not a loss of meaning though, that’s just a different meaning (which, yes, technically means that you lose the original meaning, but it’s not like it’s not replaced is what I’m getting at). We hear a melody that’s supposed to evoke both sorrow and pity. But that person wasn’t always that, so I think it’s not unbefitting of Gwyn’s theme to have more powerful variations, to pay homage to his former glory, even if it’s still tainted by the sadness of his sacrifice and hence ultimate demise.
@panzerjagertigerpelefant4 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. A lot of the boss fights give you the feeling that you're on some grand journey through this time, you're doing something heroic, changing and saving Lordran, yet by the time you reach Gwyn you are disillusioned, it's not a heroic journey, it's a tragedy, you're just the person who's going to wrap it up for them. It's sad but the simplicity of Gwyn's theme really hits a spot. I absolutely love it. Though this version isn't particularly bad, it takes that very feeling away, so I get it.

Even when you can't "hear" the music over your own concentration you can feel there is some tragedy when fighting Sif, you know the great challenge Ornstein and Smough will be even when you haven't had the worst of it yet, and even if you never paid attention to the themes in the game you know Gwyn's fight has a melancholy that reflects the cyclical nature of time and civilizations.

A Saxophone in a symphonic orchestra is rare enough, but a contrabass sax... WOW!!! Never seen one live, although I played a lot of classical Saxophone and even had the chance to play a Basssax for some time.

I don't know why I feel so emotional at the first one, until I read the comment that says the first one is Sif's theme That feeling I've forgot has all coming back

The entrance to this show should litteraly have a smoke machine over the main entrance blowing fog under it. Perfect entrance

I would've prefer Gwyn's theme to be solely piano. Regardless, bravo.

This performance of Gwin's theme kinda represents his glorious days as a god, while the original sounds more tragic and melancholic.
