@@z-man1237 It's the difference between an TV audience and a Book audience. Book audience love more nuance in characters. "The Holy Knight that still loves going to the brothel". TV audience prefers charactes to be more Black and White. You are either Good or Bad, when Bad you do bad stuff, when Good you do more Good stuff. That is why (in my opinion) I believe Jon is portrayed as this Holy Paladin, that refuses to even tell a white lie.

My theory is that it's Mostly cause Jon existence itself was treason against robert crown. So the fewer people knew the better if by some chance some people do discover his indentity. Plus cat hate really sold jon as bastard
@BlueBerryZerpy2 жыл бұрын
You need to understand that Kat was from a different house with different friends. Had he shared the secret to Kat, no matter how much he loved his wife and trusted her, there's a huge chance that it will become known. Especially when later it had shown us how Kat was incapable of wise choices. Besides, Kat genuinely loathing Jon was actually the perfect smokescreen. If Kat was acting nice to the bastard of her husband then it might bring unwanted attention to Jon. Jon was the symbol of her husband's infidelity, it was a blow to her pride as a woman and a noble.

In the books his story mirrors that of Michael Corleone and that's what he's always meant to be. In the show, he's portrayed as d'Artagnan becoming Aragon, but in reality he should be Frodo becoming the second Godfather.

How do you know? The books haven't finished yet, and perhaps never will.
@praveenloganathan74952 жыл бұрын
@@christinadanezi2195 but the parallels are there. If anything, Jon's return and ascension should involve him returning as someone powerful, in terms of political wise. Yes, I agree that I don't know, and no one will know what George intended for Jon to begin with. However, all he said was that Jon Snow's new character will be darker and more assertive. Sometimes I can compare his actions to Tyrion or Tywin. But if anything, story wise, the Stark's are the Corleone family and Jon's character arc is similar to Michael. A compassionate and caring son who wants nothing to do with his family because he feels like an outsider. But then he returns with the knowledge and skills to protect those he cares about because of his family being in peril. Yet, his newfound personality would be similar to Vito than that of Michael.

I am currently writing an ongoing fantasy book series where a divided empire is attacked by an invading horde of monsters. For the main character, I drew inspiration from several fantasy heroes like Jon Snow. Like Jon Snow, my main protagonist is the rightful heir to the throne, unites the land when it is most divided against a common enemy, rides a dragon, and wields a sword made of special metal.

Just in the finding of the Direwolf pups alone is so much to unpack regarding Jon being Ned's true born son. Jon and Rob are around the same age which hints that Ned and Ashara were married and Ned would naturally want to father a child immediately, leaving for the riverlands with his banners he needs their swords but Hoster refuses until his daughter is married which hints at why the Blackfish was upset that Hoster likely demanded Ned forsake Ashara for Catelyn. If he refused they would've been defeated and no more House Stark, so Ned wed her and then bedded her, laying the ground work for Rob. That day they ride ahead, Jon being just a bit better than Rob at riding, somehow decided to travel off the bridge into the deep snow where they found the pups. Ghost is the only pup to have his eyes open, showing he was born before the others, never makes a sound and blends in with the snow being a creature of the north. When Jon suggests giving the 5 pups to Ned's kids Ned is pained that Jon doesn't want one. Cat even gets upset because Jon looks more like Ned than any of her children. Using all the current material that has been out for years, it's impossible to believe that he is a secret Targaryen and not Ned's true born son. Kinda wish this video focused on either the books or the show or at least talk about the differences instead of blending the two into each other.
