I think Jack Gleeson is definetly not praised enough for his performance. He's not only brilliant as Joffrey, managing to really portray that manic personality, but he also just gets his character, which is really obvious in this feature.

you know, when the events of the entire second season/book are summarized like in this video, it really brings home just how complex this shit is. even as a lover of the books, i have to to give it to the writers and directors for making the show not only watchable, but far more faithful than a lot of book->tv/movie adaptations

theon's men traded him for their own safety so that they could return back to pyke because robb stark said that any iron islanders that surrendered would be allowed to go home with the exception of theon greyjoy. when the soldiers of the north got theon in their possession, they took him somewhere and tortured him for being a traitor.

I don't think Dany's arc from ACoK would have worked as written in TV form. There was too much internalization which never really translates well to visual mediums. Ultimately, while somewhat disappointing, they probably did the best that they could.

Also, Kat met Jayne when he came back for funeral. She was in Riverden all the time, while Rob was fighting on the west. Rob had lot bigger role in season 2 then in books. It was like he went west and won this won that. And we never knew that he married there till beginning of book 3, which was cool.
