I agree, but I feel that there are too many unanswered questions: 1. What happened to Flora? 2. What happened to Descole? 3. What happened to Emmy? 4. Did he see Bronev again? 5. How is Laytons life back at the university after so long? 6. What does Luke now do for living? 7. What is the truth behind Katriells real father? I know that its at this point up to the viewers imagination, but I feel like it would be nice to have them all answered by the games (or in this case the anime) themself.

And you call someone " dearest" only if this person, that is a lover or a friend, is very much close to you in less words a best friend then for the professor Layton, Luke is his dearest (best) friend if you count also godson and uncle for Kat...is so lovely see that their relationship is of a family also if not bloodline 🥹😍 (that Layton consider Luke as a (god)son was clear like the sun in every games 😂). For Marina, I think that Luke has made a quick Civil marriage to let her stay in London without problems and then they can make a propely marriage where whatever they want

So let's review about Katrielle. ① Katri was born on the Atlantic Ocean bound for America. ② Her mother "Kamilla Azan" died from childbirth complications and was then 'buried' at sea, leaving Luke Triton as a godfather to the baby girl at a tender age of 15. ③ "Kyle Azan" or Katrielle's biological father is presumably dead, says Prof. Layton. ④ She has an older adopted sister (Flora) and a slightly older brother (Alfendi) in the family. They helped taking care of their baby sister behind the scenes. ⑤ Some time later, Luke gets hitched in America. He also keeps in touch with his closest friends in Britain and Katrielle. ⑥ (Spoilers) The Relic Stones her mother held point toward the countries at the rocky coasts next to the Mediterranean Sea, most likely near Israel or Lebanon. In other words, her life has its sweetness along with other tastes that may relate to her already crazy life.

Yeah they shared quite a lot of similarities between them but both of thier styles were very different, Luke’s fighting was more about power and speed while Emmy was more Agility focused from what I remember

He kicks ass in most of his games really. He did some great fighting in Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, the eternal diva movie and in all his games. He always has at least one sword fight (or whatever he finds to use as a sword) and some epic dodges. And of course an epic roll while saving someone. It was Luke busting out the karate that impressed me! Being so young in the games he didn't do much fighting.

This film is absolutely gold for some many reasons 1. Luke helps a woman deliver a baby 2. Layton adopts (yet another) cute girl 3. Layton goes on an adventure completely reliant on his emotional relationship with someone 4. ...Don Paolo, though 5. Marina, you need more screen time...!!!

It could honestly be both. She was probably working with "There are 6 gems. My dad already figured out each represents a continent, however there's seven continents. Why would that be?" The disappointing b*tch slap of this entire series is the ending when two certain characters show up. Level 5, please do something about this, you just celebrated the 15th Anniversary of Layton and that spin off series is about to celebrate its 10th. It's interesting - I used to think this was either like a weird oversight, or something they intended to get to in a sequel that never happened. But judging by the way even the anime never touches it and literally ends with Kat brushing it off as irrelevant and uninteresting, I think it's genuinely meant to just be a running gag and the writers never intended to address it at all. I think it's a BAD joke and it greatly annoys me, but now I think maybe they really never intended for it to be any sort of focal point.

As stated here many times, this was never a movie. Instead it was a 50 episode anime from only 5 or 6 mattered for this Story. What you see here is basically just a compilation. And because only a japanese and a (I think) german dub exist, I think this never went really popular in France. Btw I think these 5-6 episodes were the last of the entire series.
