I stopped gaming in 2000. The PS1 was my last console. I only started gaming again in 2020 when lockdowns started. It's totally okay to use a weak PC. There are countless games from the past 2 decades just waiting for you to discover. You don't need to drop a ton of money on the latest specs. I play retro games (2000-2014) on my PC and I use a PS4 for modern games (2015-2022). That's what works best for me, and it's cheap too.

Found a used factory asus PC at local tech shop for 50 bucks, has an i3 8 gigs of ram 128 ssd 1 tb hard drive, bought a gtx 750ti for 60 bucks off ebay and slapped it in, was playing dragon age 2 on it on max (this is cool), went to look up lists of games good for this thing, found this video Great video man!! Think I'm going to go download dead space and bioshock for this thing. Saving this video for future rainy day purchases. Seriously this video was exactly what i was looking for.

basically all games that require the same directX that your PC capable running of is playable. but it depends on what's your term of "PLAYABLE" is. if such low FPS or low RESOLUTION is within your "PLAYABLE" category then yes it's playable

Now I updated RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB and reduced texture,shadow,water, reflection quality of GTA IV to low and put view and detail distance to 50 and the game gives a 25-28 fps at populated locations of boroughs and 40 fps were land meets water and interiors

Most of these game are not playable on low end PCs. Even if you drop the rez to 720 or less without an external gpu these games WILL lag horribly. The most common one's are Battlefield Darksouls Sniper elite BioShock Metro CoD:ghosts CoD bo2 Heck even Prince of Persia xD
