Yes. And for the people who complain about the time runs take (and the lack of saves) here is one thing I've found. When you are first starting off runs do take a long time because you don't know what you are looking for. After a couple runs though, you realize that you only need some of the resources that are available and you aren't wasting time scrapping every car you come across, etc. now that I've put a few hours into the game resource runs usually only take 20-30 minutes.
@chrisp98247 ай бұрын
@4866Yeah I did 2 or 3 story runs and a couple of resource runs and for me it comes down to "god damn I need so much scrap metal... lets do another run just for that" and then game spawns like 15 different electrical anomalies (fuck that ball stucking to your car... like I mean fuck that ball) and I barely survive so I use all my chemicals and scrap to make putty and go again. It's hard, stupid, annoying and I absolutely love this game ;P They made something truly special. Oh, my first quirk - right front door opens when I put the car in park. Kinda funny, diagnosed first try and I play on default settings, cool for now ;)

The quirks system diagnosis tool is pretty simple though. The first 2 columns are for what's causing the unwanted behaviour to happen(the trigger), and the last 2 are the unwanted behaviour. and within those 2 sets, the first column is the object, and the second is the action/behaviour. so in my case it was: The car (1st column, the trigger object) going backwards (2nd column, trigger action) cause the hood (3de column, object) to open (4th column, action). so if something strange keeps happening, try to figure out when it happens, and what might have caused it. most you can figure out just by paying attention to it while playing. Others might require some experimenting back at base so you can take your time.

I hate survival games. But I bought this one. Gonna have a good crack at it over the weekend, see if it does land with me. I hope it does because I love the look of it and fancy a change.

Thank you so much for this video After watching this I was set on playing the game, and over the course of this week I put 40 hours in and beat the story, and it was incredibly satisfying and challenging the whole way through!

I tried it and i f..king love it. It surprised me of what I got from this game. Very cool and uniq game. Love survival games and this game studio really knocked it out. Keep up the good work with all the videos. Best review show on the internet. Pros and coins like we need to hear. Big love from Sweden

I really loved this game! But, it made me wanting a slightly different experience. I’d really love to see a similar game, that’s more akin to a coop road trip across an ever-changing reality warped landscape. Not a fight for survival, but a cozy little adventure in a brave new world. That’s something I’d love to see.

I had never heard of this game before today, and when I saw the title I thought “another driving game” Driving games like Forza Horizon are incredible, but their just not my genre. Then I watched this video and learn that this is an intriguing Sci-fi adventure that involves a customizable car. This sounds AWESOME! I like cars, just not dedicated driving games. This sounds like a lot of fun!

This is one of the few survival games that sucked me right in, similar to Subnautica or The Long Dark. And yes, you will either hate it, or you will love every soul draining minute of it. Muscle memory will start to set in to combat the at times awkward controls, after you had to chase your car rolling downhill for the umpteenth time, after forgetting to put it in park. And yes... the car develops quirks and there is a story reason to it.

I love Pacific drive but because it is so open with so many possibilities it's difficult to get into. If you push through the first few difficult runs and build up that resource buffer you can start crafting all the gear and gadgets to make your life so much easier. The quirk system is very much love it or hate it (You can turn it off). An upgrade to the quirk diagnostic station let you trade a small amount of anchor energy for giving you three or four options to choose from allowing you to brute force it at that point if you are tired of a particular quirk. I currently have 3 undiagnosed quirks on my car but I don't know what they are. They must only trigger in obscure situations as I haven't notice them. Quirk's can also be positive and helpful due to their random nature. One of the best quirks I've got is every time I turn my windscreen wipers on and off the car lurches forwards and accelerates great for climbing hills, getting unstuck or just a speed boost. The game does save between zones but the lack of a save and quit function is annoying and something the community is very vocal about. If you're a loot goblin by trade this game will punish you you cannot loot every building or the storm will catch up with you. Just grab and quit while you're ahead. If you can stick out your first few runs the game significantly changes and gets much easier. Closing thoughts. Did you put a rift in reality in my sandwich?

Finally a game that feels unique & fresh instead of following the same familiar formulas like so many other games, I'm having a blast with it.

The first 20 seconds of this was enough to give me motion sickness. xD I like the concept though and I read down below that the game has quite extensive settings for tweaking it to your liking, so I googled some more. For those interested, you can disable all the bobbing. Plus there's apparently an ultrawide fix for a zoomed in bug messing with your fov. However this did not fix it for the guy in question and unfortunately in my experience some games are just vomit inducing for some reason. If there's still a demo of it somewhere, I might check it out.

first play i noticed you can decrease keyboard steering sensitivity so i turned it right down. but within a short time the car couldnt turn left. after ages i worked out its part of the script and i had a flat tire with no way to fix it till you get to the garage which i didnt know about. happy bunnies when i realized i should turn the keyboard control sensitivity back up and could then turn left. once your at the garage you can equip with a craft staion in the boot of the car to create what you need on the road. providing you have the scrap parts to create the parts that you need. eg what you wantto build may need gears so you have to create a certain amount of gears for it as well as other parts i love this game. ive heard you need off road tyres as soon as possible. i agree you have to be very carefull with the summer tyres with the random sharp rocks and matter ripping anomalies

It’s not exactly what I was expecting at first. But I still want to support a smaller budget studio on a new, fresh idea. Hopefully they support this game and make a few updates to make it more accessible for more casual players like myself

The quirk diagnosis has an upgrade where it shows you what you got correct in the 4 word guess. And the final upgrade lets you is KLIM for hints
@brandonpollastri57577 ай бұрын
Best suggestion with quirks is to not just use up your guesses, but to actualy fiddle with the car to see what clicks and dosen't. If you cant find anything, then honeslty its not a quirk that will have much consequence leaving alone. Heck, had a quirk that dimed my headlights whenever I left the trunk open. Which is never when driving
