Its because most of Platinums hardcore audience dont play this game and therefore dont post amazing gameplay of it like we do all of platinums other games. We are mostly on the other consoles/PC. Which is why Bayonetta 1, vanquish, nier automata etc still get new gameplay/combo videos every month

@@oasisbeyond got both a Switch and a PC. I travel a lot by train everyday to go to my university so the Switch is just fantastic for me. There are regular sales in the eshop and I know where to get cheap games so I couldn't be happier. + There are the exclusivities. Zelda, Mario, Xenoblade, etc... I don't want to emulate because on my pc I prefer playing either mutliplayer or AAA games on ultra since I can't do that on Switch.

I felt the same way at the beginning of the game. once you go on your first mission with your legion that's when the game starts to open up. Would also recommend checking every area before you move on.

I was starting to get let down by this game after the first few hours but then things really started to open up and varied in the combat and after you unlock the really cool abilities around mid game, it becomes a really awesome experience that made me enjoy it SO much more. I’ll be going back to this game every now and then for a long time.

Top tip: I don't think the game makes this clear enough. Doing the maintainance thing on your legions where you shoot off the pink crystals to clean it is ACTUALLY helpful in combat. The more you clean it, the better it performs in battle and if it gets too corrupted it can suffer actual stat decreases like decreased power and decreased attack speed. So definitely clean up your legions regularly

@@darkscorpionomega ahh, pretty good lead into the game. well wouldn’t want to spoil anything in particular but if your interested in the whole lore. You should be given some exposition in around case file 6 or so. You’ll need to input 4* digit code, to unlock special files. (The key to get the code is using IRIS on your twin.) pretty sure at that point you should have a specific upgrade with your IRIS that’ll allow you to see more information of people. If you don’t have that specific upgrade after getting a “rank up” to your officer title, you’ll be given a second chance to read through the lore files later on.

By far PlatinumGames' BEST action game. I've played Bayonetta, MetalGearRising, and the NieR games. This game is the BEST and most unique action/HacknSlash ever made This game was review bombed on release by a bunch of angry Sony Ponies bcuz the game didn't release on the Normiestation. And also DMC is far more mainstream/popular, so AC never took the best action game award, unfortunately. But compared to Astral Chain, DMC looked like erry other hack and slash I've ever played. Ever since AstralChain and the duel character control and countless combos, my standards for Hack n Slashes have increased

Agreed, Astral chain IMO is far more underrated & better then the likes of DMC, Nier. It was lame that the game got review bombed back then because of Sony fanboys. Gotta love how PS is suppose to be the only system that “deserves” every cool looking Japanese game exclusive to the platform, smh. Nintendo systems apparently doesn’t deserve any, doesn’t deserve to have the bayonetta’s, the Niers, the DMC’s, the personas, etc etc. Any ways, Astral chain has an amazingly underrated combat system that doesn’t get enough acknowledgment either, the whole dual combat aspect can lead into some of the most insane combo potential I’ve ever seen in any action game. All those special combo techs that you can do if you understand about “dodge offsets” and the like is just crazy, love Astral chain, man….lol.

@@CrolyGiart Glad im not the only one who was iffy on Nier. The game isn't terrible but it is not what everyone was raving about. The combat and enemies can get confusing at times and the UI was absolute garbage. Having to open a the menu everytime I wanted to use an item? I could barely find my objective on the map. There's some other stuff that really bugged me but I can't remember any of it. The game at least has a good story and nice characters so that'll probably drive me to finishing the story.

This game is soooooooo good! Just finished file 09 and that fight felt ripped out of Bayonetta. It was more intense than most final boss fights, including Platinum Final bosses

Hey Falcon! Finally, I've been watching my favourite KZbin channels for the past couple days to see if they posted a review of Astral Chain yet. I bought the game upon release and fell in love with it in the first 20 minutes as well and I was wondering "Come on, guys, where are you? My only complaint about this game : Mother freaking file 8 mini games make me wanna smash my TV. Worst chapter that actually turned me off quite a bit, then the final boss happened and I have forgiven all the flaws !

Ok this game is just amazing. I cant even comprehend how the game looks way too good to be true. How do they even make this on switch ? Even the fps are actually wayy too stable from what i was expecting. I just played the game like 2 weeks ago and i had so much fun. Love their ost too

I think Astral Chain sold me far more easily than Code Vein, and that's coming off the Soulsborne franchise. Code Vein just doesn't feel like it'll have the same level of polish as Astral or Sekiro/Bloodborne

@@charlieproctor9559 Yup because Platinum Games is well known for Bayonetta and Nier Automata. And both games were fantastic. Astral Chain is another success of Platinum Games. Gameplay is solid and characters/story as well that game reviewers I follow highly reccomended to play it, and I dont blame them.
