I really like playing in a different perspective for Rose, happy they added 3rd person camera for Ethan but I would really love for them to keep adding 1st as an option, even on remakes like RE:4. Playing as Ethan in 1stP has been a blast and for me makes everything a bit more frightening. Can't wait to try this, thanks for the vid!

Loved it. Loved how it wraps up at the credit scene but it still feels like there's a lot more to explore. So I'm anxious to see when or if they ever do continue and if they ever cross paths with some of our favorite OGs from the franchise. Only gripes I had with the Rose story was the enemies taking up a lot of bullets and just how slow and clunky the run mechanic is. It could've been a couple new areas but I was fine just going thru the familiarity of the layouts, bringing really the best 2 maps from the main story. So get past the running part and hone in on your RE skills, I quite enjoyed it.

I just finished this dlc and it took me around 2 1/2 hours. I agree with Jake that the horror is still top tier here. The story also felt really compelling, at least for me, I was hoping it would be a little longer but it was a good little way to cap off the story of the Village campaign. Makes me really curious where the games are gonna go next, plus on the upside the expansion isn't expensive at all!

Sounds like they might have nerfed Rose a bit power-wise then from what I am hearing here. Not that I wanted a whole powerhouse version of her or anything of course, but still it seems like what they did give her only serves as as a temporary deterrent for enemies so she has more time to take them out with a gun or whatever. Would have been great if they gave her SOME kind of actual deadly ability to use against enemies instead of just freezing them or whatever. But still looks great otherwise, awesome job on this one guys as always!!!

It's the default first person 81 FOV in RE8 that makes everything look smaller, if you were to increase the FOV to 90 FOV with REFramework then the view would make everything look much bigger in first person.

Im very honest, first Im Xbox Series X player and second, I do bought the game just one week ago and yesterday the expansion, really mainly cause of the new finally added third person mode. Cause I don't really like playing games in first person, but of course also for the Rose DLC. Means I will start playing the game completely in third person now and have it complete from the beginning with the DLC. Without Third person I would have never really played the game, no matter how good it is. Thanks Capcom, now you guys have me back as player too. :D

So... One third is something that has no right to not be free (it's basically a mod), another third that should free, and another short original third that reuses a lot of assets. Capcom is going hard trying to justify the price tag here. If the base game wasn't so good and worth its price I'd be pissed off, but no way I'm buying this unless it's on sale for $5 (maybe $10) in the future.

Additional Orders completely changes Mercenaries mode to be some of the best DLCs I've ever played. From struggling with Ethan on the Factory to laughing my ass off as Lady D, slicing my way to the platinum. Shadows of Rose is great. Play it on hardcore - get the most out of it. Necessary to tie off this storyline & new gameplay additions is always fun. The third person mode is also fantastic & changes how you feel as Ethan running about. Chris shines in his section, RE5 vibes going on there. Get this DLC. It is the Banned Footage of RE8, the game is incomplete without it.

funny when you mentioned "for players who held off on the game... because the don't LIKE 1st person games...." because that was one of the biggest reasons I held off on playing RE7 (despite the praises it got for being a return to horror), but finally decided to take the plunge because I knew I'd be doing myself a disservice by not playinh either of them for that reason alone.... and also, if RE was in fact just gonna be in 1st person throughout, then it sure would suck to never play RE again for, like I said, that very reason.... suuuuper excited to dive into Village again in this mode, though..... and really looking forward to Shadows of Rose, despite the shortcomings OTHER reviewers ::cough cough:: IGN ::cough cough:: had said
