With the splitscreen, originally the game wasnt gonna have it at all, but they got so much backlash they had to hastily add it in, so the Time Chamber is probably a concession/technical limitation from them having to squeeze it in

Yeah, it wasn't supposed to have split screen but they added it last minute, that is why it was only the time chamber. If they began including other maps, it would have resulted in probably many months of delay. I'm just happy it's included plus nobody really plays offline multi-player these days as much as the ps2 era so it should still be fine.

I played BT3 on the Wii and in order to do the special attacks you had to move the Wii controllers in the same motion that the characters do. Very satisfying to simulate a Kamehameha wave and see it happen on screen. Loved the game!

The split screen mode being held only to the time chamber is because its a compromise. The game was set to drop without split screen local play because there were complications with the destructible environments. The fans showed that they didn't like this so the devs split the difference and added it to the game with the necessary restrictions

Hey Jake you probably know this but there is an easy 1 minute method to erasing the lines blurring the image in the emulator. I think this is checking 1 or 2 buttons in the config. They are videos on youtube about how to do it. You will play exactly as you played on ps2 in the golden days. Wealth beyond measure!

The thing with the hyperbolic time chamber is that it doesn’t have much to destroy, having split screen on a normal stage would cook your console because there would be so much destruction and the game has to register it twice at once, basically it’s hardware limitations. Same way a Nintendo switch couldn’t even run this game at all.

The reason the split screen local battle is only in the time chamber is because the devs originally didn't plan to add local battle at all. But after hearing the fans feedback, they decided to add a quick patch to allow for local battles, hence the limitation. Really appreciate the devs for listening to the fans. Here's hoping they'll gradually add more maps to the local battle mode.

Split screen is only limited to the HBTC Due to the high rendering demand. It's basically taking one screen and multiplying it by two and the game is already tasking as it is. Unless you want your PC or console to explode the maps probably won't be anything substantial if they do update it

The reason the split screen is only in the room of spirit and time is cause before they announced the split screen. There wasn't split screen at all. And due to it being on unreal engine 5, 4k 60fps, all the raytracing, particle effects destructive environments. Would break the games stability when in split screen. Cause split screen games technically run/display the game twice

This game makes me wish demos were still a thing. It looks so cool but I've never played an arena fighter before so I don't want to buy it just to realize this type of game isn't for me

I know this is so silly, there are demos out there for some games but in my opinion not enough. Now that video rental stores no longer exist, they need more demos. There were so many games I bought because I could first rent them for the weekend for $3 first and loved them. There are probably many games I passed on simply because I couldn't "try before I buy".

Play the old games, if you're in pc just download the PS2 emulator and try them out, those games are still so great to play that feels they were made like 3 years ago

This is the king of arena fighter it ain't like the other of its type. Flying is one of the reason why its unique and have many mechanic that on ground arena can never have. Its really a fun game.

I thought you can refund game on steam which is bawically demo. You try it for a few hours then refund if you don't like it

One thing to mention about #7 is the points you use for counter/perception is also used for transformations, Fusion and some abilities so you need to assess when is the best time to use them or save them to power up

I believe they’ve said in a interview. The time chamber being the only map available in split screen is because of systems limitations. If you have 2 different screens you have to process about 2 times as much graphics. So its either decrease the fidelity of the entire game or limit the map for split screen

This makes me very happy my friend and i used to play it for Hours on the same screen. Those days were so simple. The roster has me hyped this was my biggest hang up. Due to DLC(Cash Grabs)

They limited split screen to the HBTC because the number of visual effects and enviromental destruction being rendered from different angles on a single machine simultaneously was to taxing and caused performance issues on other maps. So they limited it to the least detailed map with less visuals to render. They were pretty transparent on that when it was revealed and stated that they wanted to make sure fans who requested split screen had it but also didnt want to jepordize the quality and performance of the game. Honestly, while it can be a bit sad, I think its a very fair and transparent response as well as shows that they are trying to listen to fans while still delivering a good product without overpromising things they cant deliver. A real change in the modern games development scene tbh.

The more I hear about this game, the more hype and excited I get. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero might be the best Dragon Ball game yet. Can't wait to play it.
