Panic does weird things to people, you can't trust ANYONE until you've seen how they react to sudden danger. Point by point by someone who's been handling theses kind of fiery object (all kind of matches, zippo etc) since 18. -That's how i do it, how i see peeps do it, the man was probably too weak or just too much on adrenaline to pay attention if he lit it out first, putting a flaming match in the trash in unrelated to how it's lit out. -That happens when you use lighter fluid, some will spill, you will use napkin to clear it out (waiting a few minutes in between refuel and use is also advised but not mandatory, i sure dont!), do it over the sink as well so it dosent spill or stain on anything. On the subject of spill, if my eyes dont decieve me, he spilled fluid on his hand/the box the same time he mannages a spark, if that dosent do it for you just know im not defending the man, it takes a real piece of work to causes such a mess becauses thoses are very safe in the hands of an adult... most adults. -Yeah i have nothing to say here, even tho your ligther culture is non existent, the streamer is 100% in the wrong here ofc (kept concise as english is not my best language and i probably butchered my sentences, still the point itself shoudnt lose any to translation)

Protip: lit cigarettes cannot ignite flammable liquids. You can throw a lit cig into a bowl full of jet fuel and it will just put out the cigarette. I learned this the hard way when I was a dumb kid and lit a puddle of gas on fire which started a garage fire. I lied to the fire chief and said I tried smoking and dropped the lit cigarette on a small gas spill and it lit up. He told me I was a liar because cigarette embers can’t ignite flammable liquids.

I also took a towel shoving it under my bedroom door so the smoke wouldn't leave my room, opened my windows to vent the smoke and to this day,my family never found out what happened.
