I attended the Palladium Rifts news announcement at Gen Con 2024. I only recorded the first 26 minutes of this. I had a technical difficulty that ended the recording. The good news is it includes the news they wanted to share about the future of Rifts and Palladium.

I know that those of us over at @initiativezero are very happy to see that there is a future for Palladium and Rifts. The new psionics rules in Coalition Manhunters are much appreciated, and we've incorporated those into our actual play. Looking forward to Disavowed personally.

Kevin said that a video game isn't out of the question but it isn't i their wheelhouse. They would have to hire it out.

To add to what @GameGoggles said, Kevin also mentioned that for licensed stuff, it's not just finding someone who wants to do it, but is willing to do it without radically changing the story. An example Kevin gave was one of the scripts he saw for the movie could've been titled "Rifts: Besides the Name, It's Nothing like the Game" (or something like that, I don't recall his exact phrase).

Rifts desperately need a rules cleanup. I don't like Savage worlds because it messes too much with the lore.

You can use whatever lore you want even if you use the Savage Rifts system though.
