Thanks to a few people who suggested other weapons, I've tested the leaderboard, with Phantasm for Ranged, Blade Staff for Summoner and the Razorpine for magic! - Here are the results! To everyone asking - yeah, I tried the Chaingun! - I ended up getting a faster time with the Phantasm, so that time is listed here. :) 1 - Ranged (Phantasm) - 3:04 2 - Summoner (Blade Staff) - 3:56 3 - Melee - 4:14 4 - Magic (Razorpine) - 6:26

To anyone who doesn’t know; the last prism doesn’t “randomly stop”, after about a minute of firing the weapon stops shooting a beam but continues to use mana if the attack button is held down

It seems they more so went for the pinnacle of each class’s weapons instead of the ones with highest dps (because I don’t think any of these except maybe zenith or SDMG are actually the best choices) For example, life drain would be a much better magic weapon, and if you REALLY wanna test the limits of dungeon guardian slaying, you would use multiple weapons and wear better armor suited for this fight specifically

That's why people saying it's weak it's not all about power or dodging it's just that it doesn't have much power, and not much defense that's why.

The thing about classes is that Melee needs a lot of defense and Health Ranged needs tons of money for ammo And Mage needs shit ton of mana But the summoner you can just chill letting the minions do their thing or sometimes whip them but summoner class is the hardest way to get weapons..

If you're in endgame, Melee is superior than all of theese classes. Ranger for having long ranged weapons but then there's the Zenith with higher damage, bigger hitbox and also has long range. Summoner sucks because you have to sacrifice lots of defense for more minions so that you can get some damage. While the Melee class doesn't have to sacrifice anything. Mages is alright, having the Last Prism as it's Endgame weapon but then again the Zenith can get through the walls unlike the Last Prism. Overall the Melee has the highest Defense and DPS.

The fastest way to defeat dungeon guardian as ranger normally is actually the phantasm with luminite arrows, it’s significantly faster. Starlight is a great somewhat decent ranged melee weapon too.

Actually the fastest one for Ranger could be Rapid Chain gun with Crystall bullets, because Chain gun with Rapid reforge has the biggest atk speed, combining with Shards of crystall bullets you are getting decent damage per shot, although the spread of Ch.gun could let some bullets miss, so you can change to SDMG

About summoner: The morning star actually gives critical hit chance to summons, which could definitely speed it up, and you can actually stack summon tags by using multiple whips, basically making the summons shred enemies into dust particles. I think that using several whips could make the summoner come in first.

You can use the Dark Harvest Whip for the Insane attack speed raise (and bezerker gloves for the autoswing plus even more whip speed)and the Kaleidoscope - it whips as fast as the dark Hervest and gives your minions 10% crit chance instead of the 5% of the morning star. Thats how i did the fight anyways

I know why the Last Prism was so weak: Invulnerability Frames. For those who don't know what Invulnerability Frames are, they are frames which something can't be damaged. How does this apply? Because if a projectile doesn't pierce, it hits and that's it. BUT if the projectile DOES pierce (like the beam from the Last Prism), then the target gets Invulnerability Frames for 1/6 of a second. So yea, that's why the beam didn't hit that much.

Hey just a tip to anyone interested to speed it up a tiny bit more, reforge your accessories to lucky, getting the crit as often as possible (combined with high fire rate) is key. Unless you're summoner.

@@grate9 ​ He used Solar Wings [Which I think nebula wings are better due to it sharing movement like the hoverboard] they are end-game wings from the solar pillar. Shield of Cthulu is a shield obtained from killing Eye of Cthulu in Master Mode, and gives you a dodge ability. Spectre boots are kind of like Hermes boots, but quite a bit better, theres actually a lot of boots you can get and spectre is not a totally bad one but theres better. Then the Mana Flower, which uses Mana potions for you.

It's not exactly a fair test if you're using the same accessories, especially considering the Zenith has a fixed attack speed and some accessories could increase the other classes' hits per second. Especially summoner, with minion slot accessories.

@@theeguy9022 that fastest weapon is phantasm with luminite arrows. not only do you shoot 2 sets of 4 arrows extremely fast but with the phantasm each normal arrow that hit spawns 2 or 3 more arrows that are, i guess you could say, heat seeking

For summoner you should use a different whip btw, since the whips dmg likely won't change having summon tag damage won't help either, something like the firecracker or cool whip would work better because of there special effects. Edit: also, use a blade staff, it has ridiculously fast hit speed Edit 2: if you used the fire cracker and the morningstar/kaleidoscope then your summons will deal crits and have the fire crackers special effect.

I kinda wanna see the melee class paired with the summoner class. The melee was still faster but have the minion do consistent damage as well. I get the whole individuality part but it would still be nice to see the difference with the two classes combined. I’m not skilled enough to do it myself or even have the patience for it, but I’d watch it.

For ranged a phantasm with bone arrows is the fastest way I've found, since the bone arrows break on impact into more damaging fragments

As a mage, I'd say razorblade typhoon might be a better choice for this fight (and phantasm with endless quiver can take care of the dg fairly quick)

Yeah with how varied mage weapons are, the last prism being "endgame" and "strongest" don't really matter when it's purpose is piercing. I'd go with razorpine for autofire.

Did a prediction before vid started that melee would be scourge of corruptor, mage razorpine, ranged SDMG, and summonor blade staff. I'd defo use Razorpine with attack speed modifiers to greatly cut down that, and blade staff for summoner.

I'd recommend the Chain Gun for DG instead of S.D.M.G as its speed is FASTER than S.D.M.G. it may look really hard to tell but you will see if you try it

The laser for Last Prism stopping "randomly" is because there was a 1 minute limit before 1.4, and then it went up to 10 minutes, but there is still a limit to continous fire weapons.

Personally, I would have used soaring insignia + celestial starboard for the guardian. You showed your equipment and you have an open slot, plus they are a really good combo with being able to hold down and left or right infinitely for insane speed. Also, the reason last prism felt slow was mana sickness probably, making it so you were pretty much always doing one damage, instead of one or two

I like how the bone key drops from this as guaranteed drop if you kill the dungeon guardian and I also got this back when the turtle armor strap was a thing it would instantly kill the dungeon guardian if he hit you while you had that armor on.

I feel like you could make summoner way faster, since, if I recall correctly, every summon has separate immunity frames. So like, Terraprisma + blade staff + stardust dragon + desert tiger could do way better.
