If you had to kill the NPC's to get new items, there would be more of a challenge, and would be more interesting. Plus, the treasure bags should have only been in the loot pool after he defeats that boss.

You got the mech boss thing mixed up: Killing each mech boss the first time will increase the spawn rate of life fruit each time, not plantera bulbs. Plantera bulbs start spawning at a fixed rate after the third mech boss, and killing more does not speed up bulb spawning. also poor dye trader, he got overconfident with the 69 gold gold coin and sold a platinum coin for 40 gold. I like how you just kinda say nothing about that.

Plantera's bulb shows up as a 4x4 hot pink pixel in discovered places. I just run around and teleport home when im done, then look around on the map

By the way, you can find plantera bulbs much more easily with the map because they appear there too. The bulbs appear as a pink 2x2 cube in the map, so you don't even have to go into the jungle and find it yourself.
