It amazes me how much Venom is fleshed out in this game. I wonder how much they borrowed from this game for the Venom movie. Certainly, some of the voice acting of Venom was inspired by this.

Actually venom voice and humor was inspired by spider-man ps1 while this game ironic took some I inspiration on that game as well just the ultimate universe.

I'll be man enough and admit it. When I was 10 I couldn't open the doors to the point i cried and asked my sister to do it. She's a legend for helping me. I'll never forget her face when she was button mashing to the point she was using her face muscles and spazzing out the controller 😭😭

This game was legit so good, it holds its own against todays spiderman games imo. Having carnage as a boss battle alone is enough for me 😂. Just sad we never got to play as carnage, would of preferred to play as him over venom

Yeah, imagine the possibility of having Carnage as an unlockable character when you get 100% on the game, all collectables, beating all gangs, win all races, and even beating the near impossible venom rampage challenge in the overworld. Carnage’s health doesn’t drain, has all the moves from his boss battle, can regenerate health, but you have to be in a safe area instead of using people to regenerate. Can throw vehicles like Venom could. That would have been great, even better if the other boss characters were playable too.

Well in this game yeah but in the ultimate comics it’s actually an amalgamation of Peter’s DNA, Curt Conners DNA, Richard Parker’s and mixed with the venom symbiote

@@liambobyk219 It was actually after he was the lizard, after Peter saved Conners from being the lizard, he agreed to help whenever he gets hurt and can’t go to the hospital. There was an instance after Spider-man fought this dude the Gladiator, Conners took some of his blood after treating him and did experiments on it to produce carnage

If they ever bring this game back they should make it so when you play venom you can run around harm civilians which would trigger the military or cops or bounty hunters to track you down. And while causing damage to the city as well. Like Hulk ?

This is probably my favorite part of the game. This time we actually see Peter as Carnage, seek out Eddie/Venom instead of Venom doing it. Even though Carnage is unable to speak, you can basically just imagine what he’s saying. “You wanted me, brother…. Here I am. Let me kill you.”

I played Gameboy version of this before the ps2 because the disc copy I had was broken. In my opinion carnage entrance in the Gameboy even if it's a slide show comic was way more epic the way it was presented let alone music it had and when ultimate carnage tried to slash Eddie he turn into venom counter the attack. What surprise me in ps2 was the fight and both symbiote eating scientist and rhino prototype and venom actually getting his symbol being fully completed.
