Yeah, utterly stupid and makes literally 0 sense. :) In no depiction of Venom, ever, does Spider-Man defeat him in that manner. Spidey always utilized Venom's signature weaknesses in order to gain the advantage because, otherwise, he cannot survive a direct encounter and win a straight up 1v1 fight just like that. This just felt like brain-dead, lazy writing.

You could play it using the copy of the game and using backwards compatibility, although that wouldn't work with gamecube versions until nintendo decides to make another Desktop console, plus you would need a original disc on all of the versions, and still, Sadly, you wouldn't get remastered graphics.

Fun fact: It was eventually stated that this game does NOT take place in 1610, the Ultimate continuity. It was supposed to be the follow-up to the Venom arc of the comics, but then the comic adaptation took nothing from the games, leaving the game non-canon. This game is the diverging point between 1610 and an unknown universe, with this game being the other universe’s version of the War of the Symbiotes.

To make a Quick example, There Is a very simple reason why he tries to kill Spiderman in multiple occasions and that Is beacuse the Suit was still filled with Peter's DNA After he transformed the First Time and couldn't switch to Eddie's copium directly without First Having absorbed a Copy of Peter's abilities First. At the end of the game, Venom Is even able to infact absorb Peter and says something along the line of "i have reached Absolute, Total control, and now i have a score to settle(referring to Trask, Who betrayed his father and stole a Sample of the Suit for his own Experiments)", and earlier in the Game even Venom says "the Suit needs you, needs you!" To Peter implying that whenever It Is trasforming It Is beacuse Peter is close to Eddie and the Suit Needs Peter to be complete. Venom isn't even the One giving himself a "mindless monster Status", Trask Is litterally the One sending the whole Shield After him to take care of his evil experiments, prior to that Venom was really only fighting Peter and no One else, and in the fight with Wolverine he was still under the effect of their First fight with Peter and never reversed back the transformation hence why the ruthless Killing, and It's also likely Peter never left Eddie's surroundings at that point. Also, you do realize the Original Venom Is even more Brutal than this Venom here right? Earth 616 Venom in the Boss issue #2 Is litterally explained to be immune to Hellfire(different to normal Fire by Marvel standards), in Thunderbolt issue #173 Ghost Rider can't penance stare him beacuse he has too many eyes, and in Ghost Rider #152 GR can't penance stare him beacuse he litterally says he has too many sins, he even overpowered Knull, Decapitated a Celestial and with the Uni-power Vaporized the All necro Sword, which was a Sword that litterally killed all gods in Marvel, the mouth and Skin color thing are Just due to hardware limitations and age of the game, he looks more similar to the original Venom in the actual comics, example in the second issue of Ultimate Spiderman (the First Time he and Peter fight under the Rain), you can clearly see resemblances to the original Venom. You're just trying to fit the Whole superhero narrative that most Marvel Fans have of Venom, and i've never said or thought you said weird in a negative way, but i also don't care that you have to speak positively without bothering to document yourself first. I would've rather had you Speaking negatively while also Having a Little knowledge over what you were talking about than Speaking positive and knowing nothing, It Is good, but it's good Simply in the normal way, not in the Kind of way that you want It to be. Venom definitely has some jokes going on at him, but he also has a dark side too, and this Is the type of Venom to expect from this, he's not a clown like the people arguing he Is are, so First get some knowledge about the comics and then we can have a conversation, Child.

Man I remember as a kid how both this game and the 90s cartoon were my first introduction to the character. Always liked how in the Ultimate universe they had Eddie as a childhood friend of Peter and a sorta older brother figure before he tragically becomes Venom. Preferred that angle over the jerk rival at the Daily Bugle and like that it influenced the origin story in the Spectacular Spiderman cartoon. It makes the whole conflict between Spiderman and Venom even more tragic since they are former friends turned enemies instead of rivals from the beginning.

I don’t like venom as a anti hero That’s why the ultimate venom and Topher grace venom we’re my favorite And they both are pretty similar.
