@@CertifiedStepper-bl4zj That's not true. My closest companion was Sarah and she survived. I think the choice of going to The Eye or defending The Lodge determines if your closest or second closest companion dies.

At NASA, Andreja said it was the right choice to side with the hunter. I negotiated with the emissary at the temple and then when I reappeared on the planet surface after taking the artifact, the hunter just started shooting. I beat him, but couldn’t kill him. I haven’t seen him again. So far.

Still confused by all this. Maybe I should read more into the stories and dialogue. I finished and didn’t side with either the hunter or emmisary killed them both. Restarted next play thru and not sure I feel like playing that character anymore. Do you get the starborn armor if you don’t go into the unity thing?

You don’t have to choose a side at all. You can just say “fuck both of you. I’m doing this my way.” Of course that means you will be fighting both of them.

I did this and it bugged out. He is aboard my ship but is hostile so keeps messing crap up; attacking crew and me. I emptied the ship but it's still a PITA. Can't land or quick travel right now because the game says enemies are near by or I'm in combat. Buggy POS.
