Just after posting the video, I learned about the controversy happening with the series. What is your take on it? I get this is fictional piece of content, but certain stories were too disturbing and detailed, at times I even dropped my head and squeezed my eyes. On the other hand, video games have always been a subject for controversy as well, which we almost unanimously agree now to had been BS. Some people stretch the controversy and criticism about the series just a bit too far, but some actually have some good points. Let me know what you think

I like the pure horror to it. However, the controversy with the merch he made to profit off his success, it was outright fucked up, mainly the cory one... I wouldn't have an issue with someone trying to make profit via merch, but the depiction he used to do so... just fucked up in my opinion. He was also such a loser when it came to the criticism. All he needed to do was not put some depictions up as merch or make new stuff for that, along with not acting like a man child over opinions about his analog horror using pure shock factor (which it does and it's why I actually enjoy it.)

Think it was when they sold a print of the Corey painting that was uh. The MOST frowned upon. Outside that I get it’s not a good build up to caring about victims but it is presented like police documents so it can be hit or miss for some. Also the murders yeah can happen but I’m the “art is to comfort the uncomfortable and dismay the comfortable” so censoring this would be a nuclear option as it’d cause anything to be censored. i like to this type of horror, Realistic Horror, where it's felt so real it's disturbing to think that this could happen at anytime.
@hunterjo118Күн бұрын
The truth of the situation is that it is a fantastic idea with a bad execution. Story is just kinda all over the place with some stuff stretching this “realistic horror series” to it’s limits. The gore and brutality is actually something I don’t mind but I think that the idea of describing every crime in full detail (especially with the children who die in the series) I think that is a little much. For example the kill that has like 400 something stab wounds. The detectives find seminal fluid in some of the wounds. Like come on man. When it comes to the details of some of the cases have it be [REDACTED] like that. So that way the horror in our mind is the mystery of what was so disturbing that it couldn’t be spoken of or made public knowledge. Especially after turning a whole family into minced meat or literally sewing two kids together. The whole pig episode was literally just a middle finger with no point. He was just mad people kept hating on his videos. One of my favorite parts has actually been the fact that the main killer is a woman. Women serial killers are discreet and prefer poisons. But to have a woman who’s so unnatural and with no seeming remorse for the brutality of her actions is actually kind of refreshing instead the sausage party we normally have. And of course an artist who goes to extremes is a big part of the story. Why does she paint her victims? I hope there is an explanation that’s more like a theory. They don’t really know why but we try to rationalize it but it’s futile. Just some ideas and opinions that nobody really cares about
@haruhikari2424Күн бұрын
I think you described perfectly why this series isn't loved by most or if any at all it's because it relies on being "edgy" and having shock value than an actually story especially when he adds S.A to the story. I also think it doesn't help that we don't actually have a main character to help guide us through the story and actually get a feel into what is happening and how this is effecting the characters. However this series like you said has good ideas that the creator can expanded on and from I read from the comments he is improving
@hunterjo11823 сағат бұрын
@ I think one thing that could’ve helped for sure was have one officer we follow and get the reactions to. For example everyone is praising Nathan Cole (the officer who arrests Mona at the end). If we followed him through the story we could’ve seen how such a case hurts someone in such a short amount of time. Even if you had to keep the S.A. (which I do understand happens in real life and does add something to it just a very minute something) then have it completely break our officer. “How could someone do this to a child” even something like that would’ve made this story feel like it was written by a human with human characters
@haruhikari242421 сағат бұрын
@@hunterjo118 I agree because while it's true UrbanSPOOK isn't the first and last person to add topics such as S.A to their story it was the way the S.A was handle that was the problem I feel if UrbanSPOOK was to add S.A again it should focused on aftermath and how effects the victims and family

@ like Tina’s interview segment. Like he clearly had the footage for a while because he had the screen shot of her in an earlier video but he waited to show it until a year after the last video we had seen. There’s a reason Hell was one of if not the best videos despite the fact it has the disgusting topics of torture, cannibalism, and necrophilia. It made the topics feel horrifying instead of just gross. Also it’s the only episode to actually scare me. The body cam footage actually scared me. I think it’s the killers standing over Tina. I have a real fear of home invasion and seeing someone standing over me while I sleep. Reminds me of Black Christmas (1974)

If urbanspook/urbanslug did the things he did with the ending, none of this would have been so heavily shat on. He needs to drop the shock horror crutch and build up to it. If this was actual police tapes (which is the lore set in the description) they would not be described the way they are in the videos. A different setting would have helped it too is what I mean. The dude lost me at the Cory and Pigs episode, but seeing he did something good for the end (even though he still didn't adjust the text to fit as an actual police officer logging information) despite the poor handling of criticism is nice. I like others was interested in it at first since it's realistic that we would have brutal serial killers murdering people, no monsters, just messed up people. However, the biggest flaw is it's not realistic. The killers make time-consuming kills like the wax which they 1: have to buy a large amount of wax from somewhere, which would immediately make them suspects after the body was discovered. 2: Somehow immobilize the dude after breaking in to cover him in it. 3: Have his screams of being burned in hot wax not be heard by anyone nearby. They also didn't have the one surviving victim in witness protection, so she just gets tortured and rescued at the end when she would have been watched 24/7 considering they know these killers have killed hundreds of people, and none lived but her. Basically, the entire police department looks like a bunch of incompetent toddlers. Especially since every episode except the final one had zero progress towards getting the killers. Then the officer goes terminator mode and stops them easily, showing how yeah they just preyed on defenseless people, BUT HOW TF DID THEY NOT GET CAUGHT YET THEN? THEY GOT TO BUY TOOLS AND SUPPLIES! That's my take on it with a grain of salt. TLDR: The art is excellent, he needs to use it in a better-fitting story, especially now that he can do animation plus already made his own music before. Since the man did not know how to do a forensic serial killer on the loose story, making it more of a shock horror repeat and gore fetish with cartoonish kills that would get you found immediately. I separate art from artist so the drama is whatever to me when it comes to the series

Let's not mention about the brutal way of the content. the presentation is boring. Police found the painting, they described how brutal is it, they found the picture of the killer. And then repeat it over and over again in other videos. And talk about the murder, it's also boring when the time goes by. They put too much shock factors again and again and it's not different from the cheap jumpscare movie. Like "Oh no!
