The level of "stupid marketing" has long passed, we are into "defrauding customers" and "outright gaslighting when caught stealing from customers" territory now And they need to be punished hard, by even having them being shut down. But being foreign based companies, you simply impose a 100% tax of their income. So if they want to sell n your country they must pay 100% of what they make. No matter how much they make, everything goes to the state. You sell a new nvidia product?! Whomever you may be, all your earnings from literally everything you do, is forfeit. This is how you stop the influx of a bad product or bad company. Nobody will ever want to touch it with a 10ft stick

@@ElGoogKO When was defrauding customers not a thing? Substandard and fraudulent PC components have been a thing since the dawn of personal computing. PC-Chips and other Chinese/Taiwanese board vendors designed motherboards with fake cache chips that were no more than injection molded plastic bricks with pins stuck in them. They ran complex circular traces away from and back under the chips to look like they were connected, and made hacked BIOS versions to report said fake cache. They did this for literally years and were never punished. There were lots of companies that would buy low end CPUs and remark them as higher end parts and resell them to unsuspecting buyers. This is still a thing today.

12:20 The box states "4 Years Warranty (Online registration required)" Forced registration in order to receive warranty benefits has been ILLEGAL in the USA for a very, very long time. Forcing consumers to give out their personal information (for a company to then make money off of) in order to "activate" a warranty, is, thankfully, completely illegal. Gigglebit (sorry, couldn't help myself) needs to be called on the carpet for this. Hard.

It's so annoying when companies completely undo all the brand recognition built during the previous product cycle. It was nice when the MSI "Ventus" name meant something. It was nice when Asus used the TUF and Strix sub-brands to split their product lines. Gigabyte's motherboards have a great "Pro/Elite/Master" naming scheme within the Aorus brand that acts as an easy identifier for what tier product I'm looking at. Why can't we just stick to this stuff? Why do these partners seem determined to confuse us and push us away from marketplaces towards benchmark sites and videos? It feels like we're at a new low in the entire PC hardware industry when it comes to consistent, recognizable branding.
