I find the real reason people truly loved this moment was just how much you learn to care about Clementine in this series. We start as her protector, helping protect this small girl from a horrible and destroyed world. As the seasons go on, we see her grow up and become a strong person, eventually taking care of someone else in a world where this horror is normal. And to know she survives, you feel that relief a parent is likely to have to learn their child made it from what was thought to be certain death.

It actually kind of makes sense how she survived the bite. Her leg was split open. The infection wasn't flowing easily through the rest of his body because it just comes out the huge gash. AJ cut it just in time above the cut before it finds a way up.
