Dark Samus lasted longer, plus Is originally a Metroid which are the natural predators to the x. Plus is more intelligent. Also look what an omega Metroid did to the Sa-x. Imagine a stronger Metroid with higher intelligence

I believe Dark Samus is a much bigger threat. Sure the SA-X is powerful and smart, but Dark Samus was clearly both stronger and smarter. It not only got stronger as it absorbed more and more Phazon, but it was able to take command of the Space Pirates and can infect others with Phazon, thus turning them into its puppets once they succumbed to corruption. Plus if Phaaze and Phazon weren’t destroyed, Dark Samus would be able to resurrect by reforming overtime. The SA-X may be terrifying and deadly, but Dark Samus is pretty much evil incarnate.

The Ing would beat the X in a fight, considering they can possess metroids as well as full machines. I think the SA-X would have a lot of problems against dark samus.

Dark Samus is a powerhouse threat but the SA-X has more threat potential. For one thing it can asexually reproduce and make more of itself. All of them copies of Samus at her most powerful. Next consider The Thing, that alien in John Carpenter's movie of the same name. It infects a host and consumes it from inside out, making a perfect copy of the creature without any of the humanity. This is basically what the X does. If an SA-X got loose on a planet it would begin consuming and converting all life on that planet into more SA-X. Can you imagine an entire planet filled with SA-X? Billions and billions of copies of Samus all determined to consume all life in the galaxy.

As a threat I say dark samus I dunno is feel like she have the higher intelligence comapred to the SA-X which feel at least from my perspecitive to be somewhat smart but not to the point of being that smart

One of my favorite details about the Restricted Laboratory is that every single door has a Level 4 security lock. Usually any hatches with a level higher than 0 are a bit more spread out, which makes sense. The laboratory, however, has them back to back to back, showing that they REALLY didn't want anyone getting in there.

I'll wager that only lead scientists and overseers had the highest security clearance to access the Restricted Lab, while everyone else was kept in the dark, and only had specific levels of clearance.

Fun fact about the escape sequence in the end; it is possible for the timer to expire after you beat the Omega Metroid so you still wind up losing anyway. It seems only when Samus is being beamed up to her ship that the game considers you fully escaped.

My favourite detail about the SA-X's mutated form is that it is clearly a Hornoad. The SA-X even after all this time still had the DNA of the Hornoad it originally consumed and after suffering so much damage that DNA mutated showing the SA-X in its purest most abominable form. A horrific mishmash of Samus Aran, Hornoad and X parasite.

I hope we get a game involving Samus bringing the Ringleaders to Justice, timeline wise this is the Ringleaders second attempt to weaponize and profit off of dangers too big for anyone to control. I doubt Samus would let get away with what they've done or wait for them to try again.

As far as what's been revealed so far it'll be Metroid Prime 4. But who knows if it'll have a subtitle like 2 and 3 did.

@GamerThumbTV Well, I'm talking about further down the line of the main series. I already know about Prime 4. But seriously, Fusion planted the seed of decepticon so that Other M could have some context to its plot. And when you think about it, Raven Beak may've been wrong about Samus being the only Metroid left. He just didn't know who to look towards. And considering that the Galactic Federation's splinter cell had at least two facilities so far with possibly more hidden. I can only imagine how much bigger the conspiracy actually goes. Samus may even end up having to go completely rogue in order to bring the conspirators to justice.

Still one of my all time favorite games ever. I can't even describe my love. This is the #1 reason I love Metroid as a series, metroidvania as a genre and my introduction to horror themed games. The music kicks so much ass, the story is intriguing af, controls are perfect, bosses are great (damn you, Yakuza-X and Nightmare-X for scaring me as a kid!). What else can I say? I'd give this 5/5 and for this video the same. Great job once again, Fabian! Can't wait for Dread! Still haven't played it... I'm trying to save for PS5 and Dread (plus the rest of the series) is the only exclusive from Nintendo I care about.

Oh man that was incredible.. Since now I finally watched it and understanding more about Metroid Fusion towards what Samus had to go through i get it now.. What the federation did was unacceptable right there.. I'm surprised that the SA-X parasites didn't copied a version of Kraid which it would've been nuts right there.. But also I saw a trailer that Metroid Fusion is coming towards the Nintendo Switch and I was blown away to see what Nintendo did with the new Remastered version for Metroid Prime the graphics looked more polished and more cleaner.. It looks like Nintendo does listen and hear what the fans want.. I just hope one day we get an update on what's going on with Metroid Prime 4.. I hope Nintendo Remasters the other Metroid games as well. I'm excited for the next video episode of the Metroid Story..

Nah, 2.5D at best tho I prefer 2D sprites, they age way better. Maybe with more anime style like in later Shantae games but way darker. Many of us really want a Metroid anime anyway, so it could work. After all, Metroid's already being a manga. Plus, Dead Space has a similar premise and it's 3D. I wouldn't mind a well made 3D Metroid that could copy controls from Ratchet & Clank series.

This game was more Alien than ever. SA-X getting blown off the station like the Queen in Aliens, Samus getting Metroid DNA like Ripley in Resurrection. Very much Alien/The Thing inspired!

That was a bitch and a half to kill as a kid. Also, the whole route from Samus' ship to Yakuza-X with some annoying enemies were a pain. Nowadays, not a problem because I've replayed this more times than any other game in my life.

So next episode will be the last.... not bad 12 episodes full of delicious, sweet lore. All packaged neatly for anyone to consume and understand. However i am guessing you will probably add Prime 4 whenever that comes out for that lucky number 13 ep? It would probably just end up in the earlier episodes (right after Corruption and Federation Force) to maintain the timeline off event..... that is if that is the story they are working on. The Ship will tell us all when we finally get to see something from that game.

One thing I, still to this day wonder about: The Yakuza. When you fight it before its body explodes, and it's just a spinning head, was it made as a weapon beforehand? Because it doesn't look entirely organic, there is some metal to it.

Samus arriving at the BSL station discovering that its too quiet and there's no one anywhere reminded me of the beginning of Dead Space. "you'd think with a thousand people on board, someone would've picked up a phone." 🤔 i wonder if this is were they got the idea for Dead Space? both the purposes of the X-parasites and the Necromorphs is to spread the infection throughout the entire galaxy. and they both took place in space vessels that had lots of people on board but were all killed due to the spreading infection.

Another one could be an action based game with similar controls to Ratchet & Clank, jumping with L1 while shooting beams with R1, missiles on R2 while total control on camera. I don't remember the names of shoulder buttons on Switch. I've only played Dread's demo on my friend's console once.

Well I don't have much to say on fusion compared to other M but I do what I can: Gameplay not much to say is mostly feel like much better than super more bouncy physics and the ability to grab ledge is something I appreaciate I always rather to have some stuff to compensate movement other than jumping like an air dodge, a double jump, wall jumping or a dash it give me more option to move freely, the more obious order of getting the stuff is a plus for me I know it can make fusion a shorter and linear expirience but consider is a GBA title in the end of the day I can give it a pass it meant to be short on playing sections and the chaging ice missiles this is among my favorite abilities in metroid from just seeing this ice tempest spreading, I guess my only criticism that some of the SA-X encounters can drag a bit and the one that you can't really hide and can't fight can feel a bit of a difficulty spike consider we never had the study for how keep the distance. The story while not the greatest story in metroid is still does well in making it a more scary one it give samus a much more personality something I am not suprised really let the disappointment of other M consider what she showed should be the direction, the X parasites are very underrated creatures in the series if you ask me and I wish there was a spin off on them in the post metroid 2 events when you play as an X and trying to rise up with consuming creatures kinda like a rpg survival-ish way. The presentation not much to say is one of the best looking GBA games if you ask me and even with the issue of the GBA the brightness is enough so even with backlits isn't causing a headache to look at and the look of the fusion suit is among my favorite is like an elsathic matter cover it venom style. As for your vid job well done you show once again that you progress the quality with each entry of your timeline serieses

I would much appreciate some sound mixing so that the game audio isn't triple the volume of your voice. It makes the videos jarring and hard to watch. Love the content though.
