100% Whenever someone is speaking negatively about someone else to you, immediately set a boundary, "Sounds like you and such and such have a problem you two need to work out". The narc will give excuses as to why they can't resolve the issue directly, but hold your boundary. And, know the narc is talking negatively about you to someone else too, while playing your friend.

Me as well! It was at work and she targeted me the first day I started. It was truly an eye opening experience and I believe it was the Universe’s way of showing me that there are truly evil beings out there. I am a very trusting person and try to see the best in human beings but now I go with my intuition and believe it when I’m feeling off about something or someone! ☺️✨

I had to grieve the loss of my 3 sisters for the same reason. None of us have relationships as adults. Hope you're finding your peace. It was never about us. The narc was serving her own needs at our expense.

This is what happened to me over a 30 year period. I have now cut them all out my life, it's been painful because it was my sister, sister in law and daughter in law 🙏 I'm beginning to heal but still suffer from trauma 🩷

I told him you hate me and want to hurt me so much, but do you realize you’re hurting them as well, but then I realized a true narcissist, doesn’t care about anyone but themselves! I can’t believe I married one & feel horrible he’s the father of my girls! 😡

My mother to a tee. Always used triangulation tactic of gossiping tp put others down or put her own children against each other so nobody would look at her insecurities. or failures. She always has a scapegoat to blame for her failures when these insecurities that cause her failures have always been her own to deal with.

My dad told me at breakfast that i am banned from the house he will visit me in prison and that i am a failure because i don't tell people what to do. Stood there grinning believing his own narrative. That it was in the bag, my arrest, my imprisonment, my loss of income etc. I stood up, looked at him, made him laugh because that i how i wanted to see him for the last time. But he didn't know that.

This is sooooo good! It’s so diabolical that this happens. I’m learning so much about the narcissist. In fact, I’ve worked with one for a while. This person is everything that you’ve described. Even triangulating. I was taken advantage of because I had lost a loved one. Nothing romantic involved but he was training me and pretended that he was like a son to me. 😢. He was taking advantage of me financially. I was in a vulnerable position at the time but when I got away from him the scales were dropping. I felt guilt and shame for allowing this to happen. But God is a loving and merciful God. He has given me strength to move forward. He’s a predator and is doing this to other women. Romantically. He’s a sociopath, physical and emotional abuser. There’s one young lady that he’s dating now and she doesn’t have a clue about him. 😢.

My crazy mil is the queen of triangulation. She has torn her own family to shreds pitting her children against each other. She has a golden child, an invisible child, and a scapegoat child. My husband and our family are scapegoated, isolated, smeared, and discarded by the whole family because of her evil nonsense.

He would always try to tell me that my daughters were always trying to take my place as the mother of my family like it was a competition but I would laugh at him and say that you don't know what you're talking about and he would get mad because it didn't work. I also told my daughters in front of him and they would laugh and say men always think everything is a competition.

My ex husband of 31 yrs did this btwn our daughter and me. He’s now my ex of a lil over two months. I was incredibly ill a decade from a med injury caused by a dr . I was too sick to leave. As soon as I started regaining my health, he assaulted me Dec 5th. I’m learning how to navigate life again on top of the divorce and happier than i have been in a very long time. I am struggling financially bc i haven’t worked in 10 yrs but im on disability for now and the peace is so worth it

My boyfriend did this with me and his friend's girlfriend. Told her all these bad things about me and even set me up by telling me such atrocious lies about me to myself that i fell for it and started hitting him and his phone was ready and recording while he repeated, "im sending this to her! (Her name here). At the time i didnt care about that cuz i was too horrified with his behavior. It wasnt until later that i caught onto their inappropriate relationship of talking shit about their partners to each other. He wouldve left me for her had she wanted him but she didnt. She just used him to spy on her own guy. So humiliating

They're THE worst!! Their passion e aggressive behaviors and stealth tactics are just pure evil in my opinion. It's the plotting and planning they do that just brings another level of evil. They have so many chances to "abort mission" because of the amount of time they put into their abuse. They seem to get extra special pleasure from the Shock and Awe of it all and the fact that their Target's have no clue that they're interacting with the enemy. They're so flippin weird to me. I can cognitively understand how their brain works, but because it's so foreign to me it makes my head spin. How do they go through life like this? But, I realize it's because this is how they feel normal and fulfilled. They need to cause pain and chaos to feel content in life. I believe that's the definition of being evil. LITERAL "demons" in the flesh. Creeepy! They make my skin crawl now and I get a sick feeling in my stomach 🤢🤮

Coverts are more slimy and in the end you cannot even stand being in the same room. My dad kept telling me how physically weak my brother was and then was over the moon when he thought i was going to prison. Well i just looked at him and kicked myself for ever helping him when no one else would.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, a covert narcissist in my family nearly reduced my life to nothing. Only now in my early 40s it's been revealed to me how sinister and creepy this covert narcissist was working behind the scenes to ruin my life. He got other people to do the dirty work for him to keep my life miserable. He noticed it was easy as I was surrounded by the most miserable cowards of the children of men.

I am trying a bit of religion because revenge, malice and anger lead to a poisoned heart and anger is simply giving someone else permission to harm you, if it's a parent, then they almost have complete control of you. If people are no longer in your life then God heard the conversations you did not hear. Liked what you said. Gives me comfort.

My Ex turned all 3 of our children against me also in retaliation for me reporting him and his criminal network that I discovered, uploading over 3,000+ pieces of actual, hard evidences. Such a despicable thing to do to the children and the other parent that has tried to protect them from such heinous abuses, crimes and frauds. The Judges were in on the many crimes/frauds and abuses from the beginning so they refuse to stop him, of which I have absolute, undeniable evidence. I am so sorry that you are going through that. It truly is heartbreaking. 😢 I wish that I could tell you it would get better when they get older but honestly I don't know if it will or not.

@virginiahart4480 yea, 30 yrs this year. The first 25 I spent at work. We've been in therapy for 3. Its better right now, but Iam afraid leaving therapy will remove the boundries and it will be back to business as usual.

@@MichiganSilverBack I am glad it is better for you now. Ask your therapist for advice moving forward. Don't allow your children to disrespect you or your boundaries or it will get much worse! Because I have wanted a relationship with my children, I have allowed disrespect out of desperation and because I know that my children are being systematically brainwashed against me in retaliation. However, it has just gotten so much worse and dangerous!!! 😢So, I will now refuse to put up with any disrespect and leave it in God's hands to decide if I my children ever come back to a healthy, respectful relationship with me or never see me again. I can't continue to beg for basic human decency anymore, nor should I. My children's disrespect towards me isn't going to stop me from pursuing criminal charges against their Father and his criminal network. I will keep you in my prayers that you continue to make positive progress with your children. ❤️

@@MichiganSilverBackTherapy, if you have a very good and knowledgeable therapist, which is rare, is only effective for the victim. Unfortunately, there is no effective therapy for the narc. This is why there is such a big following on KZbin towards experts on narcissism. We learn and we support each other in our trials and pain.

How can we catch em though, that’s my thing. Because on the one hand, if they can merely PRESS PLAY and have consequences handed down, it’s kinda hard to fight back against that. Hard, not impossible because some of us have won in the long run 😬but... how to SPOT IT? I was thinking anytime you have or see an individual that cannot stand on their own, that’s part and parcel for a flying monkey or narcissist to have a field day with. Weak minded or push over types who just like to agree seem to do the bidding. @@NicciFae right. That’s the thing. I think... oh man... this is hard. But I think on some level, it boils down to a core, WHAT OUR REACTION IS. 1. What do we do in real time OUR ACTIONS. 2. How do we perceive the situation. 3. How do we FEEL deep down. Not just thought, but deep GUT INSTINCTS. 4. What’s the total take brass tax no self gas lighting. No pumping up of emotion. Just raw dog looking at pragmatic facts AFTER THE FACT. Then it’s what are we gonna do about it. That was the nifty little nuance we tend to miss. The RESPONSE. If you feel like a bastion of lightening caught up into a bottle, do we let it out? Are we being fair? Has a wrong been done and now we need to be empathetic for our enemies/smear groups? So to me, those are the internals going on in my head. How hard am I supposed to take this? Is All MY STRESS coming out like a lazer on this one perceived slights, or set of abuses? It gets deep, I absolutely love this kind of work. It’s been so healthy for us to work on cognitive dissidence together.” 😎👍💯

One can't really tell if they are in an abusive narc relationship until they have worked out the many traits and patterns a narc uses. I have found different narcissistic relationships should be dealt with in differing ways depending on what the relationship is to the victim. The problem for many is if it is a family member that is the covert narcissist with a posy of flying monkeys (usually other family members or relatives), does one leave the entire family or certain members of that family, it's so easy to get dragged back into an abusive family dynamic if one doesn't cut them all out. As for nasty neighbors call them out and give their nasty back to them. Screen-shoot all their cyber bullying if internet stalking is what is happening and take it to the police. Workplace narcissism is different again because one would have to be careful how they would handle leaving a position if a covert narc and flying monkeys are involved. 💜

My daughter has always triangulated and I’ve told her to stop it every time. She’s now a huge narcissist and abusive especially to me her mother and her husband and sees herself as this savior of others. She’s caused division and estrangement with my 2nd daughter who’s 9 years younger than her. I love her more than anything but honestly I don’t like her anymore at this point. She thinks she’s the most educated and accomplished and had the nerve to tell me I’m jealous of her. She told me I’d lose my beauty and die alone and no one loves me or likes me & that means all my kids. She even told me my dead mother couldn’t stand me or love me. Guess where she got all her information? HER DAD! He treated her like a princess and could do no wrong and put her above me. I hope she gets a good therapist who finally calls her out on her crap and she deals with whatever is causing such low self esteem to abuse others.

@@NicciFae very devastating! I’m now trying to reconcile with my younger daughter and she’s open to it and plans to come for thanksgiving. I am praying somehow we can bond and I don’t loose her again. If my oldest gets wind of it I’m sure something will happen. My son’s birthday is thanksgiving and I want him to come to. She influences him also. They’re missing out on a mother who loves them and wants a relationship with them. I’ll continue to pray for my oldest who is going on 37. It only seems to get worse like her father.
