Seeing you coat the whole model with that oil wash nearly made me cry. Having never used them i had no idea what to expect and it was a terrifying sight seeing it all black. The end result was lovely.

Haha yeh man that's the one thing about oil washes that scare me is the initial step. Just need to not panic and trust the process as you can wipe away as much as you want with oils as takes days to fully dry 😀

lol. i was thinking why is he covering with oil everything. nice toilet night vision. try to add some dark green or Luftwaffe dark blue to the highlight the wraith to add a bit of contrast. Cheers mate.

Thanks man. I was hoping no one would notice that. It was only after I built it I realised that was supposed to be cut out, so I painted it black and hoped no one would see it 😆. I'll fix it eventually but I'm swamped atm sadly

Gotta be honest, the wraith has a cartoonish look to me. I had the same problem with the plastic witchking too. Reminds me the black riders from a ps2 fellowship game I had years ago. They just don't capture the feel of the Peter Jackson movies like the recent Elrond did. Paint job looks lovely though👍

Thought you’d fucked it when putting that wash on but looks good! Do your tufts stick well enough without any glue? I always chucked some on because I’m paranoid

Yeh the wash goes on supppper heavy and is terrifying but you can always remove oil washes down to a level you want. Just need to not panic and trust the process :😜 Yeh the Tajima1 tufts are great and super sticky so I don't bother but gluing is always the better option if you arnt lazy
