Just a clarification; The "G7 HE" is actually the successor for the *original* G7, as it largely retains EVERYTHING that was on that version of the controller, but with the Hall Effect sensors that were found on the G7 SE. GameSir is still going to be selling the G7 SE alongside the upcoming G7 HE, infact they're about to release three new colours for the SE! (Orange, Blue, and Purple)

Mg G7 SE's trigger broke while playing rocket league after about 5 months. The plastic seems more brittle and the mounting tab was smaller than the factory controller. They're sending me a new one and I preordered the HE. It's still the best controller I've ever owned. Microsoft controller break consistently in other ways.

Even the pro controller is not worth it, my buddy got it and kid you not, after 2 months got stuck drift and the customer care was so bad and over the span of months he couldn't get the new stick and even after he got them he needed a special screwdriver kit which guess what? Sony sells 😭, my guy switched to pc so fast it was almost comical 🙏🏼

That squeaking Trigger button can be fixed by applying a very small amount of Shin-etsu silicone grease to the actual spring. You need to open the controller in this case. That issue with your analog stain, I believe you have already fixed with those amazing metal analog replacements. I really love those metal analogs. I have them on my Captain America and Iron Man Nova Lites and they really add to the aesthetic. They also fit the hard shell travel casing. Something which I had an issue with using analog caps.

The previous version of this controller before they implemented the Hall Effect sticks and triggers, did have mechanical buttons and d-pad. I guess they removed them to cut cost. I don't know which one I prefer but might be worth watching a review of the OG Gamesir G7 to see how they perform. Personally I bought a mechanical keyboard years ago after reading everyone raving about them and I couldn't stand it lol. I was just about to buy the G7 SE but may wait for a review of the HE first. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Buy the G7 HE it has both hall effect sticks and mechanical buttons which will definitely make the controller last longer. The only difference I didn't like is that it doesn't have the back latch to switch off the extra back buttons on the controller like the SE. But I know the reason why they didn't add it back is because of the stupid reviewers and customers complained that it wasn't needed and they should have used it as trigger stops instead. I truly appreciated that feature so I don't have to use the back buttons or click on them by mistake even if the buttons are deactivate from the software app and also it makes it feels like a regular controller.

Some of my face buttons weren’t registering (particularly the A button) so I took it apart, put a small dot of resin in the middle of the bottom of the buttons, cured it with a UV light, & after about 2 months of everyday use, I’ve had no more issues. Absolutely loving the SE so I might have to buy the HE

It's a nice controller. I unfortunately had the issue where the 'Warm Snow' faceplate wasn't fitting perfectly and while moving the left stick it always scratched along the faceplate

After 6 months as I used the controller totally 2 months the triggers started to be very sensitive. Also if you turn on hair trigger options sometimes the device uses it by itself. Very annoying while you gaming. Otherwise a good controller, very comfortable, I just feel the materials used quickly. Plus 1000hz on windows 10 unstable and useless ! (need win 11 if you want the 1000hz)

Personally the kaleid just fits my hand better. I used the g7 se for about the same amount of time as you. It was a review sample. Liked it but the bumper eventually starting wearing out and it gave me hand cramps from the awkward way I had to hold it. That being said the kaleid has much better paddle positioning and it fits the hand much better. Th3 mech buttons are really wierd. They are squishy with a click. Why they made them squishy I will never understand. Same scrappy bumpers. Other than that I love these controllers though.

That's tough. They are both excellent controllers, but I would have to choose the G7 SE for one reason, it can be upgraded to 1000Hz and used on Xbox. That's it.

I play Fortnite and CoD zombies. In zombies, in BO6, my default controller and a different controller by Xbox do this weird thing where I walk super slow at first and I have to readjust the stick to start sprinting. Sometimes, it won’t let me move. Almost died to zombies a few times because of that. On Fortnite, scrolling through my locker and stuff is a hassle. When I type on the Xbox keyboard or on KZbin, it doesn’t respond sometimes and move to the next letter. I told everyone I want this controller for my birthday or Christmas (my birthday is on December 22nd) so hopefully I can’t get it then 😂

Get the flydigi Vader 4 pro if you can swing it. Has a lot more to offer and the sticks are much more responsive. I have both, the g 7 se feels amazing for small to mid size hands. The sticks are buttery smooth. However for linear players. There is a sizeable built in deadzone. If you turn the deadzone down you get some pretty bad stick drift.
