Gamesir Nova Lite on Honkai Star Rail Android

These are the steps required to work with Honkai Star Rail Android:
1. Download the Gamesir App from Google Play Store.
2. Open the app and allow the permissions it requires (you can delete the app after finishing the steps).
3. On the controller press and hold Home + A until led turns on.
4. Go to your phones bluetooth setting and Pair "Gamesir-Nova Lite"
*If it does not show up on devices, press and hold Home + Capture (the button below home/gamesir) until led flashes fast.
5. On the app tap on the controller and select firmware upgrade, then select continue upgrade and once done the controller would turn off.
*It might have problems updating, mine had connections problems, just repeat step 3 onwards.
6. It usually updates to 5700 firmware (mine came with 3800), turn on by pairing mode again with Home + A (might need Home + Capture after too).
7. Still on gamesir app select your device and select firmware upgrade again, but now select "Other Versions" and select 4000, just let it update.
8. Once completed the controller would turn off again, this time leave it off.
*You can now just uninstall the gamesir app.
9. Now turn it on by pressing and hold Home + B, now it will go to the Xbox Wireless Controller Mode and just go to bluetooth setting again and pair it.
10. Open Star Rail and go to settings and in switch control mode to select controller mode.
This is required because the stock firmware (mine 3800) doesn't work well. The newer firmware 5700 replaces the Xbox mode (Home + B) with
Dualshock 4 mode and that won't work on HSR. Just comment any questions you might have. I didn't make a video on the procedure because it might take long
and had problems with mine and don't want to repeat it. Got the controller really cheap for just $10, this is because of discount coupons where I bought it (Shopee). I like this controller a lot because of the cheap price and even works on multiple platforms. Devices I used were Infinix Zero 30 5G and Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.

I just got this controller but HSR doesn’t detect it? I used the home button + A to pair. Is that wrong?

It's B + Home. It's important to update/downgrade your firmware, chances it won't work out of the box. Just follow instructions in the description.

I'm guessing it also works fine on genshin impact and any other mobile game like fortnite ect?

@@aymenbx648 Genshin on Android = No, because it doesn't support controller. Only the iOS version supports controller. Fortnite = Yes Fall Guys = Yes As long as the game natively support controller it should work

@@ChocoAL14 but it works fine on my ps4 controller, and i use android, any chance dualshock 4 mode for this gamesir controller can also work for genshin? If you haven't tried it yet can you do that and tell me the result as well as trying wired mode? If it's true it's a big selling point for me

@@aymenbx648What android device are you using? I tested 2 android 13 devices with an official dualshock 4, it doesn't work on genshin. And here I thought they finally added controller support on android. Are you sure you're not using any mapping software? On the side note: The Nova Lite has a Dualshock 4 mode, just needs a firmware update to the latest. After updating just press and hold B + Home for pairing.

@@brianarteaga8776 After pressing B + Home and led flashes, press and hold Home + Capture button (the button below home) until the led flashes much faster. Then go to your bluetooth settings, it will now be discoverable.

​@@raisou9750 what do you mean genshin had controller support since 2.0 i've tried it multiple times, the real question is what kind of controllers are compatible
