What an interesting way to handle the data between the two halves. Came here looking for details on his because I'm wondering how hard it would be to mod this into a much wider controller for a larger tablet style device.

Agreed, odd but does the job I would be curious If the connections where extended if that would cause input lag on one side of the controller
@JediBuji
@JediBuji 2 жыл бұрын
@@rickstechrepairs I'm going to guess there won't be measurable lag but would think resistance if the wire were lengthened to much night be too much for those particular circuits. Fortunately it looks like a pretty robust ic design, I bet I can extend the leads (and use the same springs) without issue. To me it looks like the trickiest part will be coming up with the extended housing for the back.

I was out of luck and the left stick was touching the spike on the spring. I watched the video because I also could not open it by unscrewing only the screws on the back cover. But I didn’t rip off all the rubber, I just cut the holes to access the screws. I bent the end of the spring with the solder back and everything became fine. It’s sad that such good things have to be refined by hand. Thanks dude.

I've choose this instead of the type C because there are plenty of issues coming out after months of use. like right analog sometimes not working, because of the port that will worn out after continuous plug and out, and the charging port only works on specific phone, also add unable to use your case if its too thic, I think the Bluetooth is the perfect one.

@@davidgesell My controller did the same exact thing as yours. A lot of X2 Bluetooth models are suffering from this same issue. I guarantee, even though it didn't light up, that you were going through the same thing I & many others are going through. Has it been like this the entire time you've owned it? Like, straight out of the box with no lights when charging? Or was it working before, but not working now? Do you still have the controller in your possession? Because there's a bit of a trick I want you to try, if so. Fix - In between the power button & the USB-C port on the lower left of the controller is a reset button. You'll need a pin to get in there. Now most portable electronics that have a reset button, you usually just hold it in for a few seconds & it works. But for whatever reason, you have to modify a technique to get it to work properly. Get a pin & insert it into the reset button. Keep it held in with 1 hand. Then in the other hand, plug in a USB-C charge cord into the port. Keep the reset button held in for at least 2 minutes while the USB-C cord is in the controller. When you take the pin off the reset button your controller should light up. Edit - If it doesn't light up at all, then repeat the steps I gave but try holding reset for even longer. It's then going to display 1 of 4 possible blinking lights. Red, Orange, Yellow or Green. If it's blinking red, repeat the steps above. If it's orange, repeat the steps above. If it's yellow or green, that means it worked. Then just keep it charged until it works again. It took me several tries to do this but this is the solution. Mine was blinking red for the longest time & also went through a phase where no lights would come up at all. Follow the steps I presented & get back to me. If it works for you then I'll know this is a definitive fix.

@@FurbyParade226 Well I already replaced the battery in mine months ago and it's been working ever since. This is amazing though if this works for someone. It was a pain matching the dimensions of a new battery with the same voltage and mah, and modifying the actual bracket that holds the battery in the controller. Your way seems much easier. Hopefully someone will come across this post and it'll work for them. Keep fixing things one at a time man. 👍
