In this week's Games Made Easy video you will learn how to play the combination of Ark Nova better, quickly and easily too.
In Ark Nova you compete against other players to build the most appealing zoo while also ensuring it supports sound conservation projects.
I love this game because when you play it that’s all there is, your entire focus is on building your own perfect zoo. I love how each game is so different. There’s just so many cards, so many zoos. And until the end, you never know who’s going to win.
There’s a lot of moving pieces but it’s not that hard to learn and it’s so rewarding. I really like how you’re working towards joining these two tracks, and I love that it plays equally well at 2, 3 or 4 players. And that’s quite rare.
Tabletop games are really fun, but learning the complicated directions and rules can be a challenge. Lavinia and Peter explain the rules quickly and easily so you get to play faster while giving you all the tips you need to get better.

I really like your teaching style and always appreciate your thoroughness and clear descriptions. One small error in the teach however. An upgraded building card allows you to build one or more buildings however, those buildings must be DIFFERENT from each other as it says on the card. So building two kiosks in one turn is illegal. One kiosk and one pavillion would be ok however. I always look forward to your teaches!

Game Clarifications: Upgraded Build Action: you may build 1 or more different buildings as long as you have the strength. If your Build Action card is on 5, you may build for example a size 3 enclosure, a kiosk and a pavilion. You may not build the same building twice. - Thank you Paul. Upgraded Association Card: Perform one or more different association tasks. You may make one donation. During a round, if you want to perform the same task again, you will need to place 2 workers. Remember you cannot play the same task twice within the same turn, they have to be different tasks.

On your shelves I can plainly see Ark Nova, Star Wars Rebellion, King of Tokyo, Munchkin, Orleans, Sushi Go (among others). I was beginning to think I was the only person who had that combination of games in their collection.

There’s a lot of pieces to set up the game, it’s not necessarily complicated to play. I love it, and I’ve been enjoying the expansion recently.

How do I know which enclosure I'm transferring from? Just from memory?

You will have the animal cards you have played in your play area; for example if you if you have played a bird that is in an enclosure of 5 with the Aviary sign as well, you can transfer it. You need to look at the animals you have played. I hope it makes sense what I'm saying :)
