Its a true testament to how complex this game is considering she plays this game regularly and still got a couple things wrong. Whenever a faction ships forces down to arrakis the Bene Gesserit MAY come with them as an advisor. They do not need to. They can instead bring that extra advisor to the polar sink as they did in the basic rules.

I think you might have the spice blow phase a bit wrong. You draw for pile "A" if you draw a SH card, yes you remove troops and spice from the territory, you then draw again for pile "A",if another SH, then Fremen decide where worm appears, draw again for pile "A" till a territory card is drawn, then proceed to pile "B" and repeat the process. I hope that makes sense and thanks for the video.

Do you find the paying spice in battle for your forces a little confusing/too mathy? Or is it just me? Would leaving that out unbalance the game?

The battles can be tricky. Not sure if you can leave the spice element out, but maybe try it once to see what it does :)

@@GamesMadeEasy try MCDM plays Dune, they don't play with that rule and it's much simpler IMO

Removing the spice for battles weakens fremen dramatically in advanced games.

@@jordantucker3834 yes I've read that the "spice empowered troops" rule was created for tournament games in which the Fremen had a mathematical disadvantage. Fair enough. But I don't think that everyone is playing at tournament level of seriousness or hardcore at their local game groups for it to matter. Yes, no?

@@fan-i-am in the games I've played with fremen they tend to need the additional strength to compete against the other factions. It also allows the fremen freer use of what spice they do get to bid for cards (their only real expense as they do not need to pay for shipping) while the other factions have to conserve some spice for battles. In most games I've played the fremen struggle to win battles as anyone who sees one of the top 3 fremen leader disc's in their traitors at the beginning of the game usually takes them as well.
