@jayypee64914 жыл бұрын
I don't know if Jonathan is ever sent comments from this, but I would like to note (having played this myself) that the reason the shells look like static images is because the VR footage was probably recorded at 80-100+FPS (as the game tends to run) and then cranked down to 30 or 60 FPS for the recording he viewed. In VR you see the shells move much more fluidly and realistically, but with downcranked footage like this it seems a LOT more static and downright jerky.

I'm a firearms historian, collector, and instructor here in the US. It really does warm my heart to see someone from a non American facility provide very valuable yet entertaining information on this field. Also, just saying, a .338 build could potentially happen in a one off spin. Food for thought. Also might try mixing firearms in a pot to see if it works. And I agree about the video game not doing Justice for the extreme pleasures of loading a Garand. Assuming you don't get Garand thumb. I've handled several and have a refurbished one from 1952 in my collection, beautiful old piece.

I'm not into guns or even shooting games but i love these vids, Jonathan's knowledge and his understanding of the compromises game have to make

Anton Hand has poured a lot of time into designing that game

6:58 I reckon the reason the ejecting cartridges look funky is because of the low framerate in the recording. The player's PC might not be up to par when it comes to playing VR _while recording._

Honestly this guy could just start his own youtube channel and make a good bit on the side for himself while educating people.

the royal armouries do have their own KZbin channel, and Jonathan does a gun of the week segment on there.

4:53 that looks like hickok45's range at his "compound" complete with the gong on top of the hill!

those guns aren't real at all though. why would he focus on a bunch of guns he can't even compare to a real-world version to?

They need to do hunt: showdown. By far some of the best gunplay in any game.

That badger shirt must be his favorite. This is the 3rd video I've seen him wear it. It's a badass shirt by the way. ...mushroom. Mushroom.

The emotional whiplash of going from "This is the most accurate depiction of this gun I've seen in a video game" to "are the sentient hot dogs bleeding mustard?" is really what makes this game
@discokossan4 жыл бұрын
Pretty cool that they did an episode H3VR, hope they do a second one since there are loads more guns that weren't covered here, such as: Union French, Sjogren Inertial, Mag 7, American 180, China Lake and Delisle Carbine.

I would've liked to see him give his opinion while actually playing the game.

The range in the game looks like Hickok45 gun range. Mind you I’m talking about the outdoor range with the flower pots and steel gongs and not the indoor range.
