In the dorm you can actually hangout with each party member 6 times. 3 times for 2 different activities. Doing each activity 3 times will unlock a bonus trait for each character. So yukari has spells of healing spells cost only 50% sp for the first buff But then for the second it goes down to 25% sp cost.

The Great Clock is SUCH a great addition. Not only does it boost your lowest level party members up to your own level, but it forces you to actually add them to your party first and beat some shadows with them to initiate the level boost. Every time I did this, I ended up keeping those members on my team for the rest of that night's tartarus run. It's such a great way to incentivize changing up your party throughout your playthrough. Also: RIP the hard/soft water quiz question 😪

Actually, you could easily increase your courage without taking that medicine. You just had to have a routine of going to karaoke and the game center to increase it quickly haha

The amount of fusion spells in reload have been greatly reduced. And other than Cadenza and Armageddon, all spells have been reworked from the original games. Some of the spells now also deal damage (for spells that previously only causes certain effects to the enemy like Jack Brothers and Trickster) and some would also ignore resistances. (like Scarlet Havoc, which is probably why they reduce the amount of spells available because they don't need to do spells that basically have the same effect if they all ignore elemental/physical resistances)

They nerfed a lot of stuff but what I don't miss and thank F they didn't bring back was RNG skills when fusing personas. I wouldn't have made no where the amount of progress in the game if they brought back that awful mechanic.

What's fusing? Are you saying you didn't do an Orpheus Only with no Downfusing and only allowed skill morphs and Elemental weapons? Ok but seriously it's a fun run, My Orpheus had Gale Slash, Mazio and an random status skill when i killed Nyx, obviously maxed out stats, the party was Yukari, Akihiko and Mitsuru, i was using Laevateinn for fire access.

One thing I liked about P3P was you could use the clock in two ways a full heal and SP heal for the party or just a full heal for the party which was cheaper. Maybe they could have did the same with the fragments too like make it 3 fragments cheaper for a full heal only.

Opening cut scene and the cut scene where you first summon Orpheus are much better in the original than they are in reload.

I like almost everything better in reload. The only thing I like better in fes and the original is the character portraits have a bit more of a shin megami tensei art style. But combat is way better in reload. It's easier to navigate, it's alot easier to see what your options are at any given time with the network features, The voice acting and soundtrack is great. Maybe akihiko's original va is better but both are great. Strega have more screen time and are handled alot better in reload. And there are just way more things to do. Especially in the dorm. I think reload is phenomenal. It's actually probably one of my favourite games of all time. Persona 3 was already up there for me but the remake is just better in almost every way.

almost all OSTs are better on the original (except for the new ones ofc) since they sound drowned out for some reason. I'm especially sad that they decided to not use burn my dread (or some sort remix of it) for the OP since it's quite.... an important motif for the story itself. some of the cutscenes that i saw, while not bad, is kinda eh since it loses some of the great timing and a bit of the edgy-ness (reload awakening animation especially kinda loses the tension and grittyness the og had) but all in all i'd say reload improves a lot of the base game, especially its combat and tartarus itself. also being able to max the girls' social link without needing to date them is super nice. i do think the voice for ryoji and akihiko is a bit too deep than what i used to, but fuuka and ken's voices improve a lot

I’d say it definitely feels like P5 (snappier, stylish, and has a lot of the same systems to keep up momentum like baton pass and theurgy) but mechanically feels more like P4, with stuff like shuffle time, dungeon layout, and the all out attack animation. It’s an interesting mix of the two for sure.

The changes can be pretty bad. The tone of the game shifted pretty harshly. This is even shown in the opening cutscene. They added dialogue when they absolutely didn't need to, which changes the tone of the scene. I'm also not a fan of the in-game cutscenes. The anime cutscenes are always better.

The default brightness setting is too high in Persona 3 Reload. On the off chance anybody sees this comment, I strongly encourage you to lower it down by at least 3-5 notches. Trust me, you won't believe how much better the game looks.

I feel like I'm insane but... I swore Mitsuru had a month or two where she was depressed or bitter about Fuuka joining with a better navigator Persona. Since she had been fighting for so long it broke her a bit. It showed some personality. In RE I feel she's more subdued until MUCH later. I wish they kept it in, cause it felt so human. I think the character development happens pretty fast or too late in RE. But I'm not sure how much else changed.

That never happened in the original game. Teddie has a version of this in P4 and Morgana has a version of this in Persona 5, but Mitsuru is rather pleased to have a dedicated Navigator and doesn't get depressed or bitter about it. Mitsuru does have a moment kinda like what you're describing but for a completely different reason later on in P3, though.

Thee new VA's are good and all but it still feels like they are only wearing the skins of the og voices and some aren't written as well as they are in the past and you can no longer send your team to explore tartarus for you. Its not a definitive P3 and thats the worst part. Atlus really is the master of scamming people by making them pay loads of cash for things that were in previous versions or creating a second version with more features and fun stuff. Also New Mass Destruction is enough to lose your will to want to play the game. Can't wait for the 4 remake years from now with the golden postgame stuff added later as DLC and Persona 6 in 2030.

it is literally persona 5 in persona 3 skin.. nothing else. as in giving persona 5 a persona 3 skin mod. as for social links, if i don't get to have it all, i'm not in at all. if i don't get to build my full s.links as *I* see fit, i don't care about the remake. the social links in persona 3 original were just fine. so basically the devs just gave you more options to spend your money and enforce you to increase your status. "similar to persona 4 / 5 this and that ...." yeah! this is no longer persona 3! it's merely Persona 4 and 5 systems with persona 3 skin. just like the way resident evil 4 remake destroyed all what made the original game its own identity, persona 3 reload IS NOT persona 3 anymore! even with all the new stuff and continent systems, unless i can mod the social links to my liking again for PC, i'm not touching this remake! TL;DR this is not persona 3 anymore, nor is it a "remake" this is a completely new stand alone game sewed together from persona 4 and 5. it's no longer persona 3, not systems, not social links, no battling, not activities, .. absolutely nothing, other than graphics and story. it is simply .. not persona 3 anymore. conclusion: yeah! helped me quite a lot! i'm not touching this waste! even the story got filtered! amazing! i'm sticking with the original. i wanted to play persona 3, not a fusion of persona 4, golden, 5, royal, this is not persona 3, as much as resident evil 4 remake is simply not resident evil 4 anymore. keep filtering stuff, and i'll remain in the 6th generation era! the game was perfect as is, why ruin it? if you can't give it all to us, no filtering, then give us nothing at all. it's all in or nothing at all, i'm not doing midway.
