9:26 A lot of people missed that Rick didn't kill Morty, as you can see they animated Morty sleeping. But I just realized that since Rick knew how the device worked, he intentionally didn't kill Morty so he wouldn't kill a morty in a different universe. Interesting. Edit: Although now that I think about it, he did actually create a device that kills Morties in different universes. Unless he lied to Morty to make his point across but idk how else it'd work. Still interesting.

That's on Morty 100% although part of me thinks either Rick was f-ing with him and the other mortys didn't die or that is the turning point and what sets his path towards becoming the evil morty we all wanna see again and learn about.

Good point I was confused at first but I think I figured what went down. He shocked and stunned Morty a and then pressed the button, he pressed the button- making me think the user that presses the button is the one that gets eliminated and replaced. So- when Rick pressed the button after stunning Morty a, Im absolutely sure he liquified himself and replaced the other Rick when popping up Morty b. He basically killed himself to prove a point and because he doesnt give a f about other Ricks. Plus, the clever bastard used himself as an example because he KNEW there were consequences and he would need to eat shit from Beth if he killed Morty and had to then fuse their dimensions back together.

Vat of acid and the finale for sure shined brightest this season. The whole thing was amazing, as usual. I'm okay with them just peppering in "arcs" or continuity of whatever but if they abandon it all together the show would go from nearly flawless to just funny, ya know. I need that arc, and I'll take what I can get even if it's just an episode a season.

9:59... If you didn't watch the movie "PRESTIGE", there is a spoiler here and it's a clone... In that movie, a magician clones himself to perform a magic trick and always has to kill the clone, so no one knows that there are two of them... So here once you press the do-over button there's the alternate timeline which has a duplicate yourself, and it gets eliminated and you take the place at that particular time, leaving the pervious timeline abandoned and according to rick, there are consequences due to Morty messed up in all these different timelines. In short, Rick teleports Morty to a different timeline, at a previous checkpoint and replaces him with the other Morty by killing the Morty. Hope this helps ☜(ﾟヮﾟ☜)

@@johncontreras2327consider the morty we are following is original and according to his frame of reference, there are different possible realities in which he hasn't made his dicision or is about to make a dicision. Rick uses time crystal to detect these realities to create checkpoints where Morty gets to redo his decision. But the problem is , there is already a Morty present in other reality, then redoing will make the original Morty to replace the other morty by killing him. So its not Morty's clone, its morty himself in another reality getting killed by the original Morty, and get to redo his decision
