It's way more convenient and I'm just trying to play the game. I don't have to deal with a possibly scratched disc. The downside is that it would take up more memory, but I dont play that many different games anyway. Also if the drive crashes, it's a wrap unless it was backed up on a serve or something? Still, I'm not a special edition's type guy. To each is their own though.

I can't wait for GameStop to die. I've been buying my physical copies of games from eBay for the last decade. The last time I set foot in a GameStop was a decade ago too. They sold me a "Refurbished" PS3. I didn't get warranty and that's my fault but, I wasn't expecting the fucking disc drive to break in under two weeks. Another time they fucked me over was when I had (still do have) a copy of WWE SVR2011. I tried to trade it in but the clerk claimed that there was this extremely tiny little hole towards the center of the disc, he even pulled a magnifying glass, I checked it myself. He was lying his ass off, there was no hole, no dots, no marks, not even any scratches. I take care of my discs, plus the game still works fine. Fuck GameStop, rot in hell.

More and more people are buying games digitally, esp thanks to the often 75% sales (let alone emerging subscription-based gaming like PS Now, EA Access UPlay+ etc) than they are buying physical copies. PC dealt with this transition a decade ago. Gamestop is barely holding on as it is. It's only a matter of time. I for one will be glad to see them fold as their business practices both externally and internally are some of the worst. Accessories? 9/10 times you get better deals off Amazon or hell even Walmart lol

@Ali Hadi Babar a retail case for every game I owned back when I still kept physical media took up several full sized bookshelves and my entertainment shelf. Games for ps1, ps2, GameCube, wii, wii u, ps3, ps4, etc. Also when games get sufficiently scratched up either due to negligence or more commonly with the older consoles, wear and tear and imperfections with the disc drive itself physically scratching up the disk makes the games unreadable and unplayable. This is why I moved to a digital only library.
