Majority of online orders will get sent to the closest GameStop that actually has the game in stock. The warehouse does get orders too but if stores have it they'll be who ship it. That stores employees will be the ones who pack and decide whether or not the actually include the case or package. The store I work at does our best to send all games with original cases or a case in general. We also run a tighter ship for condition and quality of the games and when shipping we do our best to make sure the product gets to the customer in perfect shape

My friend and I have bought around 15 retro PS1 and Saturn games from the website and every single one has come disc only

Wind Waker + a Mario Sunshine case is a pretty good come-up for $30. That would go to my trade pile instead of return pile. But the rest... eesh. I will never get why their website doesn't have an option to hide items that aren't available to ship.

I'll never order from gamestop again. I ordered Crisis Core FF7 for the switch. I paid for it to come brand new, but when it showed up in the mail it was only the case with no game anywhere to be found. I tried for days getting a refund or something, but basically the people I talked to said they didn't believe me, and anyone could order a new game open it and say it never came. I was flabbergasted. I just gave up, and said never again will I order from them so I just bought it digitally. So. I paid for it twice and still have an empty case that occasionally stares into my soul.

Was the case open or sealed? I had one Switch game earlier this year which was new/ sealed but didn't have the cartridge. I contacted the publisher and they hooked me up. It's rare but shit happens and if it was sealed, that's not even the retailers fault.

From what I remember, the PS2 port of Grandia 2 isn't very good. There are frame rate issues when you are roaming the world.

Game Stop needs to let you wishlist item’s. That way you could quickly check your wishlist and see what’s in stock or on sale. It would also let GameStop know what games are in the highest demand.

I remeber that I bought 3 games during B2G1 event earlier this year. A Godzilla game for Gamecube, Dragon Ball Z budokai 3 and Liberty City stories. These last 2 games came resurfaced in a bad way that the discs looked terrible. However, my Godzilla game came out in a generic case but It came with manual.

I ordered a bunch of 360 games a week ago. They got shipped from different gamestops in the Usa. I'm assuming they are just out of stock of those retro games.

I would see if you can get your money back on the Grandia 2 since it was destroyed! They need to work on packaging too! I bought only one game from the retro section of one of my Gamestops. It was Paper Mario for N64. It works and saves!

I say this often and I'm happy to say it again. I am now 100 percent in favor of repro carts and games disc. I no longer pay those high eBay prices for retro games.

All you can find at GameStop is ps3/360/wii in stores and ordering online you almost always don’t get cases let alone manuals. This whole retro thing is so disorganized and trash, and the stock they have is mostly common games or shovelware. Pretty bad.

PriceCharting shouldn’t be the end-all way to judge what a game is worth, it’s just a way to see what people are currently selling and buying it for. I realize that’s essentially the same thing, but it shouldn’t be. It’s all a matter of rarity and what people are willing to shell out, sadly. It’s painful to see people go on there and go oh that’s what this game costs or is worth, when that’s just what a collective group of price-gougers says it is.. at the end of the day it’s ‘worth’ however much it originally cost (depending on condition), until you can find someone desperate enough to pay a lot more.

I am okay with GameStop I have had pretty good experiences with them in the past. They should at least check and see that they send you the right game though. I think retro games being sold at GameStop is cool because that is what I would want to see when I walk into a GameStop.
