I already own it on Wii. I usually don’t get extras of games unless they trade in for double what I pay for them. I don’t resell games for the most part.

Another solid week of pickups. I actually just picked up Overlord on PS3 for $3 this week. I’ll have to keep an eye out for Dragon Quest on DS. Always good to learn about more games to look out for.

Great video as per usual fam! i recently hit it big at a salvation army got Mario cart 64/turok/golden eye/tony hawk proskater/star wars shadows of the empire and rampage world tour all for N64 i rarely find anything older than ps2 in my area! Paid 20$ for the lot! Also that frontline missons evolved game is on my 360 hidden gems list very enjoyable mech shooter probably the same game on ps3 so def worth playing!

Honestly the PS2 version is the way to play it. Better graphics, voice acting, and it has wide screen support. If you have a PlayStation 2, you can snag it for much cheaper as well.

Great pickup on the dragon quest ds games. Yeah I'm with you on the overpriced half price book game prices. That castlevania game was around 65 cib and they wanted 100??? Every now and then i will catch them slipping and get a deal but not often.

Yeah you have to be pretty selective at half price books. I usually just stick to the clearance stuff, but occasionally like you said, you can catch them slipping. Like that CIB copy of Pokémon black that I found for $50 not too long ago.

Yeah bro, half price books is definitely not a lucrative place to find good deals on games. I get lucky every once in a while and find stuff that’s undervalued, but most of the time they are very much overpriced.

There were three different a misprint variations when it came to final fantasy vii. The only one I’ve been able to find value for is the floating i black label. I think the one you’re talking about is the one that has a black label on the front but the spine has both labels, correct? The third misprint was I believe a inside cover misprint that you would only be able to figure out if you had if it was unsealed. I would guess a sealed copy of the mixed matched version will probably be around $2000. But that’s just my guess, it could be worth more…. Nice find!!!

@@CincyGameHunting ok so I’m looking around on the ol interweb and I can’t find much info but there’s one guy selling what I have on eBay for 25,000$ I think his is a vga 80 but that’s the copy I have. I don’t know if that’s realistic or not but that’s the only version I’ve seen so far like the one I have, if you search on eBay rare variant final fantasy vii 7 black it pops up. The only thing that makes me think maybe it’s worth that much is he had a recent sold for 9500$ with the straight black label! Idk either way I appreciate the response back and all the info! @@theegarbagemonster Yeah bro, I wish I had more info for you. I know that the floating i misprint sealed goes for between $2500 and $3000. When you bring grading into the factor it’s hard to really ever get a real idea of what to expect. That usually inflates the price drastically. It’s definitely an awesome find no matter what the value. Misprints are a tough thing to get a good gauge on because there are not a lot of them on the market.

Yeah they’re charging about 20% to 25% more than it’s actually worth. You definitely have to be selective when looking for deals at half price books for video games. Deals can be found, but there are a lot of things that are over priced for sure

That’s definitely become one of the hard parts about game hunting nowadays, a lot of the games that I come across are games that I already have in the collection. I usually only get doubles if I know that it trades for double what I pay for it or more.

HPB prices have been so inflated lately, and with them not doing any 1/2 off days in the past year and a half its almost always a miss there. Cant believe they get in anything rare anymore with the prices they pay. i brought in a OG xbox console, Obscure, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Conkers, and both Left 4 deads on 360 and they offered me $16.

Yeah I heard about their trade rates, I have never traded anything to that shop ever. I’ve come to find that most of their video games are a smidge overpriced usually. You can get lucky from time to time and find somebody slipping but it’s definitely few and far between.

The ones here in the Minneapolis metro almost every game is over Pricecharting or eBay value. Used to be able to scoop up 360 games there cheap and use the 1/2 days coupons to get a good game.

I think the limit is four times in one month for a single game. I usually only trade it in about two or three times a month. It is actually a thing. I haven’t had it done to me but I have had friends that have been blocked for a while. Not a huge deal but it is kind of an annoyance…

A few of them in my town have stopped taking them as well but it’s usually just the small ones that don’t have a lot of extra space. Others have just started putting them in the drawers and not displaying them. I’ve heard a lot of the bigger cities have stopped taking them in all together though.

I know what you mean, I usually keep a couple of digital games on my hard drive for each of my consoles, so that when I have to install a new game I can have something to play while it loads. I will say that games installed using a physical disc seem to go faster due to the fact that you don’t have to install the entire thing straight off the Internet. I don’t think I’ve ever had one last two days though. 😉
