I'd use the Ambull paint guide to get those styles. The ambull is a bigger model, but the techniques still apply

great example of how and when to use Contrast paints - it works way better on organic materials

the new vespid models are great, but I wished all the models still an armored chest plate. it makes them feel more futuristic and advanced since they’re still a part of the Tau

I really love that orange color, don’t know if I want to do the same thing since my Salvagers are also the orange box art color (plus my own twist) so I might want to go for a more yellow color since I never really do anything yellow at all and this seems like the perfect team for it.

I feel it would be helpful sometimes if you show the previous step and current side to side to see the differences. In this video in particular the drybrush step is hard to notice without a reference of how it looked before.

So I'm a beginner painter, and I ordered this box set and I'm excited to build it. I like the box art colors for both, but these still seem a bit too advanced for me (I'm overwhelmed by the number of paints used for one model). Is there a good way to simplify this so a beginner can achieve something similar?
