Matpat just gave me an idea when speaking about the monster’s “nodes” on its head. In the beginning, eyes are scratched out on the poster of the children. The background has things with eyes on them. When Amanda starts to get possessed, her eyes either hollow out or flip inside out. The nodes on the monster’s head could be the collected eyes of its victims, representing the souls imprisoned in the tapes.

I love how this theory plays out. It seems to fit right and there set much more to say, except... I feel as though "Grandma" (mentioned in tapes 1 and 2) has some sort of importance? I mean, I'm most likely wrong, but the fact that there seems to be some sort of character familiarity in there feels odd. Really interesting game, and way more creepy than it has any right to be. The EEG cap idea feels a little like a stretch personally. In the final scene it looked more to me like the monster was a mix of Amanda and Woolie. It had kind of animalistic features and Woolie's face shape and nostrils. I figured the white bit over the eyes was just wool. Maybe something along the lines of "pulling the wool over your eyes"

9:21 This point is further proven with Woolie saying once they are inside the store: "It sure looks crowded" the protagonist is SUS though, like what is their deal? they for sure have a connection with the monster and it's possibly forcing them to do stuff, maybe this too happens with Amanda, sometimes she snaps and breaks character, sometimes her voice even seems desperate and if she is being controlled, why isn't Woolie too since he is part of the tapes?
