I love Jokic but a lot of it is fake. It’s a role he is playing and he overdoes it very often. It’s ok to celebrate achievements. He “forgot “ the mvp trophy as well. Jokic is the best player on the team, but overall the Nuggets are still very much a part of the 3-point shooting era. They shoot fewer 3's than some other teams, but they still averaged over 31 point attempts per game this year and 35 per game last year. Compare that to 10 years ago in 2013, the teams that led the league in 3 point attempts were shooting 25 - 26 per game. The Nuggets 31 3's per game this year is the attempts per game as the Golden State Warriors team that won the championship in 2015.

I think the game changer is Jokic will actually post up and smaller guys then take it to them to the hoop. You see centers with smaller guys on them and they opt for a jump shot or some random step back jumper lol. To be honest, it'll be nice if there is a transition of centers that post up and back down smaller defenders. It was cool to see him do that it brought back memories of 90's and early 2000 NBA haha.

Yep. The league and the fans should forget the very bad example set by LeBron and move on. This is the right way, that's how you compete. Let the GMs perform their job under the rules, the players should not interfere, "star" players under contract planning reunions with other stars a couple of years later... that's dirty, simple as it is, real competitors shouldn't act like this. It's impossible for the NBA to regulate that, the players' agents will continue to set up reunions behind the scenes, but at least we had very good examples ever since that insult towards the sport. Dirk, old Duncan with Kawhi, Curry, Giannis, now Jokic, etc.. they all showed how the "right way" is more dignified and effective than super teams, "not 1, not 2, not 3", get that weak shit out of here

That game reminded me of a heavyweight championship fight between Larry Holmes and Gerry Cooney back in the early 80s. Gerry Cooney threw everything he had at Larry. Had there been anyone else with the championship belt, Jerry with a walked out with the championship. But because Larry Holmes was so overwhelmingly better, he had no chance to win. The nuggets are much like Larry Holmes. They were just so overwhelmingly better, but the heat showed a lot of heart

I usually root for the underdogs, which the Heat definitely were by all stats, but I'm glad that Nuggets finally won their first NBA title in their 47-year history, whereas Heat won two or three titles already. The Nuggets were just the best team this year whether it be the regular season and especially when it counted during the post-season. Dec onwards I could not decipher who can beat them if they are healthy. And the Nuggets were healthy throughout this year. No, major injuries. I did not see a player miss a game in the playoffs due to injury. Everything just clicked for them.

If healthy, it's almost a certainty they will reach the finals again next season. Depending on how the roster shapes off, only the Suns can impose a real challenge in the west. However, Bucks and Cavaliers, I think they will be very strong next season, if one of them reaches the finals to match against the Nuggets, that will a provide a better matchup than these weak finals, more quality

INVESTigate the Referees Please!!! 🧐Accountability is needed in the NBA. There were faaar too many calls given to Miami that game 5. That was beyond bad referreing and missed calls, that was CHEATING. It is a miracle Denver pulled it off. Refs almost robbed the city of Denver a chance to celebrate at home with the team. The Warriors team have been the standard since their three core players were drafted by their organization. Going on 11 years together and still strong. It takes patience and commitment by the organization to stick with their core players. It isn't easy on today's NBA when the players have so much leverage and teams salary cap restrictions. Hopefully Denver has the same commitment as the Warriors have for so long.
