- There is no reality where Tears of the Kingdom averages below a 90, even if it ends up deserving it (which I don't think it will) - F-Zero GX AND Metroid Prime remaster / remake / HD will be announced and released on Switch - Zelda will die in TotK, but somewhere towards the end the reverse Uno will be pulled (love the idea of reviving her for a trilogy game though) - "Switch 2" will be announced, not released / revealed - Fire Emblem Engage will be the best selling Fire Emblem, but will be divisive amongst the fanbase for its casual direction

Here's what I think: there will be a Direct focused solely on Metroid and we're getting a trailer for Prime 4, remasters of Prime 1 and 2, but not 3 and we're also getting a Super Metroid remake.

Two things about your Metroid conversation really stuck out to me - 1. I think Bandai-Namco was just a bad fit from the get-go. How many Japanese studios do you know that have experience making first person games? When you think of popular FPS titles, do any come from Japanese studios? I don't think it's about how "risky" the studio was getting, just that they quickly realized they didn't even have the basic fundamentals of FPS development down, & that it's a lot more difficult than expected. 2. It was brought up that one of the reasons to not have an open world Metroid would be the visuals. Open world games on Switch often sacrifice visual fidelity & detail to accommodate the worlds, and we'd prefer not to see that in Metroid. I think this mindset right here highlights why Nintendo should've given us a Switch Pro, as the hardware itself heavily restricts what developers can even do! This was also discussed regarding Bayo 3's development, and how the developer's vision had to get slowly chipped away until eventually overhauling the game entirely, just because they were so limited by the Switch's hardware. I also wouldn't want an open world Metroid game. Hell no! But the fact we know it's either A) open world or B) great visuals kind of sucks. Why can't it be both? I'm sure some people will say "BotW looks great! Xenoblade 3 looks great!" but really that's the art style & direction, making it look great *FOR A SWITCH GAME...* Witcher 3 looks great too... for a Switch game... but it doesn't look great for Witcher 3. Just stinks that devs are so limited by the hardware that they scale back so much, reduce the scope & compromise on the potential of their vision, all because the hardware has nerfed their goals.

I think the entire point of Nintendo is to have self inflicted limitations for the sake of creating unorthodox game dynamics and charging cheaper prices than the competition. Having too much freedom and power actually goes against creativity.

8:51 - State of Splatoon 3 - shows how Nintendo build 3D shooters now. So I think Metroid 4 is gonna serve like a first Full HD first person shooter's template for Nintendo for years to come. That's why so many delays.

I think Switch 2 will not only be more powerful, but also have some new twists. Expand on VR, which will be "VR mode", and then have a feature that lets you stream to the new dock to have asymmetrical games like the Wii U had, and it could be called "Gamepad Mode" or "Streaming Mode" or something like that

I know I'm watching this late, but I had to ask: Why do Andre and them think Nintendo hasn't been using the HD rumble in the Switch controllers? I've literally been playing the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks while listening to this video, and I can feel every drift boost in my hands as I make them, and they vary based on the strength of my boost. Just last weekend, in Splatoon 3's Salmon Run, people were complaining that the HD rumble was overtuned when using the Grizzco Charger (a point to which I agree). Whenever I take big hits when playing Xenoblade 3, I know because my controller tells me. And need I remind you guys of the final postgame level of Kirby Star Allies? In the end, the game uses the HD rumble to play the Green Greens theme through the controller itself. There's no speakers on the controllers, it was the HD rumble playing a full melody. The HD rumble is something I not only think Nintendo uses effectively, but I hope it's implemented in every standard controller they release going forward, cause I bet that if I turned it off, I'd be missing part of the experience in some games.

Very Curious, to the people that are so adamant the new hardware will be in 2024.... Why 2024? Seems like there are major games coming out in 2023, a lot of which were delayed to 2023. Will they really not use these games to help sell a new system? --Do you really think they are going to re-release these titles only like 12 months later on a new “4K” system? According to a supposed leak (take with a grain of salt) the reason Prime 4 was taken away from Bandai Namco was because they were turning it into something that didn't resemble a Prime game. Apparently, it had a lot of RPG elements, and it was a much more linear game with not many extra paths for power ups and whatnot. If this is true, I can understand why they were taken off the project. Nintendo obviously wants this game to succeed and impress fans if they felt it wasn't going right.

GBA I would see happening just because of the top notch emulator they made for the Wii U. The GBA was the best emulator on it and thats how Nintendo works, they mostly do what is more convenient first. Gamecube will never happen, to them , these games have more worth than N64 for example. They feel like these games are modern enough that you just need to fix the graphics to rerelease them at full price.

Here are my thoughts. Regarding Tears of the Kingdom, there is no way it scores below 84 on metacritic. I would agree that there is a strong chance that it doesn’t hit in the same way or be as impactful as Breath of the Wild. I’m think of a Link Between World situation. LBW used the same Hyrule as Link to the Past, but LBW had its own ideas making it a solid Zelda experience in its own right. I see a similar situation with Tears of the Kingdom where it bring new ideas and its own identity to the Hyrule of Breath of the Wild. I do find it very strange that we haven’t seen much of TotK. Despite having an official subtitle and release date, the Zelda website is very barebones, and there is no e-shop page. Regarding new hardware, I don’t see this. We might see some special edition OLED Switches like that TotK one that leaked, but there will be no 4K, Super Switch, Switch 2, etc this year. Regarding new games, it would a missed opportunity not to have some kind of Mario game this year since there’s the theme park opening in Hollywood and the movie coming. My crazy prediction is actually that we will have a new Star Fox game this year. Regarding NSO, my crazy prediction is that the base NSO will receive GameBoy and GameBoy Color games while GameBoy Advance games will be exclusive to the expansion pack.

I'm giving the same prediction that I've given in 2020, 2021 and 2022: that Nintendo will confirm the new Ice Climber game they have appeared to have been hinting at. It seems to be most likely a winter game, so, maybe November for the holiday season? The presumed hints lead me to believing it will either be made by HAL Laboratory or Masahiro Sakurai. I thought it was coming in 2020 for Ice Climbers' 35th anniversary, but then the pandemic hit. HAL Laboratory does have 8 games on Nintendo Switch: Kirby Star Allies, BOXBOY+BOXGIRL, Super Kirby Clash, Part Time U.F.O., Kirby Fighters 2, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby's Dream Buffet and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, so they've been busy, even during the pandemic.

Here are my predictions for 23. Nobody asked: 3D Yoshi's Island on Switch 2D DK VS Maro on Mobile Discontinuation of OG Switch Introduction of LCD variant of the new (oled) switch. Update to the processor in switch witch 6gb ram. No name change. Same games. Maybe 10-20% faster cpu than current chip. Zelda ToK 1st muliplayer expnasion in November
