Only thing that comes to mind is gold for all vendor currencies and maybe the fact there's not 100 gems at the start. Being able to actually mouse over stuff and see what it means in game as well is a huge QoL.

Lots of people shitting on DM, and I don’t get why. When was the last time somebody who played a sequel first decided “you know what, I think i’m going to go back and play the older game. Which gets less updates, less quality of life, is harder to get into and will probably be inferior to the game i’m currently playing by the time I learn it” Thats not to say there’s nobody who will do that. No doubt many will. But the vast majority of the new audience they got with POE2 never got into POE1 for a reason, and many of those are much more casual players. A lot of people are shitting on POE2 now because they fear it will kill POE1. I don’t think thats an unjustified fear. But I also believe GGG will find a balance, simply because its the best business decision to have 2 big money makers rather than just 1. And even if you don’t believe that: Shitting on DM because he hold a *slightly* different view from you is unacceptable.

PoE 1 is still by far the best ARPG in existence and is superior to PoE 2. I'll admit the new player experience can be rough but that what PoE 2 is here for. It's the best PoE 1 tutorial out there.

Even before PoE 2 was announced, there have always been a massive amount of crybabies within PoE 1, where any change is the worst thing ever and the only good version of the game was the one from the past (that they previously complained about too). They're still playing to this day, funnily enough. These people are just now focusing their baby rage against PoE 2 instead of PoE 1 itself.

I mean Explanations for every mechanic (what Gain as means, what converted means, what elemental resistances are, rtc) Videos and clear explanations to each gem and how it works Wasd movement More and better telegraphed visual effects The gem system in it's whole. Yes I prefer poe 1 myself and i think DM's opinion that players will not visit poe1 unfounded, but poe 2 does have a significant amount of new player friendly qol

Well for starters: the ability to read how a mechanic works in game. Including video’s for gems before you invest resources into them Less reliance on third party software The new gem system (there’s a lot to be said about its balancing though) WASD movement NPC’s text actually scrolling at a reasonable speed that matches the dialogue Being able to trade with NPC’s using gold (instead of a dozen different currencies. Which sometimes need to be in your inventory) These are just some of the ones I noticed most. But that first one especially is massive for new players. I can name more of course. Such as: - Insta identifying items with an NPC - No more portal scrolls (just a button) - Chaos innoculation actually changing your health globe for easier visuals - indications when you take damage, and for special effects such as shock & poison - Using quality orbs only takes a couple clicks instead of 20 - Buying back accidental purchases from NPC’s I’ll stop now because this comment is long enough, and I think I got the point across well enough.

Nah I think it's an L take. QoL? Does he mean manual 3-to-1 and manual flask refill? Or the QoL of that fantastic crafting system that forces you to play trade? It's not better QoL. We traded shit QoL for other shit QoL, and sacrificed SSF player power and build diversity.

Who needs to actually be able to evaluate the gem skills by yourself instead of getting dropped 200+ gems that you got no idea what the fuck they do. Who needs to actually know what the words inside of the game mean. Who needs to know how changing skill points in your tree will actually affect your character. Who needs an actual good campgain instead of running for hours. Who needs to move with wasd. Who needs to move with controller. True POE2 has no valid QOL, you guys are straight up inbreeds.
