god I used to play so many games on my 2014 toshiba satellite, it had a pretty crappy intel celeron and 4 gigs of ram but still ran so many old games

If you used a good SATA SSD, *maybe* it wouldn't be so terrible. The Page File is probably being more stressed than that little processor. SSD would've helped it. It defeat the funniness of the video yes, but even these machines with a SSD run just fine and are perfect for simple use. There's a 2009 Acer laptop, with 1GB RAM, Core 2 Duo T5500 that runs absolutely fine with 100% CPU and 100% RAM (not that it means much honestly). Also, Generations has a DX11 mod that makes the game run SO much better it's unbelievable. Part because of DX11, part because of the removed debug leftovers in the game's code.

Oh absolutely, a SSD would help a bunch. Didn't know that about Generations though. Now I know for when we next decide to game on it, which ideally would be never!

First time I have ever seen a device unable to run csgo. My desktop gaming PC runs cs2 at 60 on rare occasions but this only happens when I switch to 4 by 3 and all lowest settings. Guess which GPU I use.
