@@IndellableHatesHandles Indeed, I play gta 5 installed on hdd and I have no stutters, but I had to move CS GO from hdd to ssd because it was stuttering, since when did cs go require ssd in order to be playable? Valve doesn't care anymore about optimization nor making the experience a more enjoyable one, yeah launch updates for more crates instead of trying to reduce the number of cheaters and the amount of stutters. Same story for the Tf2, cheaters and bots all day long but the optimization is not as bad as cs go's optimization because tf2 didn't receive big updates since 2017. Valve has fallen really bad as a game developer

I focused way more on playing other fps games and most of them really old titles, I can feel the passion and love they putted in those games like Doom Eternal, Painkiller, Dusk, Amid Evil, Blood, Heretic, Hexen, Vircerafest, Nightmare Reaper, Dread Templar, Warstride Challenges etc. I have now a thing for fps games that let you run around an arena shooting countless of enemies while kickass soundtracks kicks in, mainly heavy metal and groove metal. Now planning to buy Postal Brain Damaged which from what I've seen it close to Doom Eternal in terms of gameplay. Yeah not feeling like spending time in games where developers are more focused on making microtransaction systems more stable than the game itself.

The minimum system requirements for GTA V on the PC (released in April 2015) was actually only 4GB of RAM with an NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB or AMD HD 4870 with a quad core processor running at 2.4Ghz for Intel or 2.5Ghz for AMD, I suspect it uses more RAM if available as a cache to reduce stuttering between areas. Both the Intel GeForce 410M GPU and the Intel Core i3 2330M 2.2GHz dual core with 4 threads are well below spec and yet it's still playable. GTA V was incredibly well optimized and even ran on the last last gen consoles, E.g. the Xbox 360 and PS3, in 2013 it really pushed them to the absolute limit to make them look closer to the Xbox One or PS4 released later that year.

I used to play GTA V on a laptop with integrated graphics and 4GB of RAM at 15 FPS and I played it for 371 hours like that. I could comfortably browse the web and my brother used to do PowerPoint presentations on it, so it's usable. KZbin also had no problems at 1080p 60 fps, slight delay on the mouse but the video itself was good without any stutters or lag :)

I have to say, I am quite impressed with this laptop performance! I didn't expect a Geforce410 would even be capable of GTA5 and ... Well it ran better then expected. My PC gaming is done on my PC... so Laptop isn't a huge deal for me. But I do need one and got myself a used 200$ Laptop with an old I7 paired with Geforce 920M which does a respectable job. If I play games on it it would be things like Barotrauma, FTL, starcraft2... mostly 2d games and some occasional 3d.

maybe cuz of the cpu . when u have a cpu can`t use 100% of the gpu and the cpu is on 100% u will see bad frame time but when u increas the graphics the gpu usage will be on 100% but u will get less fps which ur cpu can handle . MAYBE am i wrong ?

to make sure you are getting the most of your laptop you should select the high performance power plan in control panel and make sure your laptop is plugged in (ac power) all time while gaming

Sadly we can't upgrade the CPUs and GPUs in most laptops. Very old laptops (like 15+ years old) and some newer models sometimes have a real card inside and/or a socket for CPUs. But I guess most manufacturers quickly realized they'd sell less new laptops if they continue to do this and everything has to be thin and light nowadays, which is why this is probably not going to happen anymore. Even in desktop PCs manufacturers like Dell and HP think it's okay to use proprietary solutions.

hey, just a heads up: if you're testing such underpowered GPUs, try to set 960x540 resolution in config files or in windows itself through driver panel (you can do this on Nvidia and AMD, not sure about Intel). it's basically the same pixel count as 800x600, but it will look much better on 16:9 screen because it won't be stretched

For minecraft actually you need to wait for 5-10 min for rendering idk why, but it worked max graphic can run for 30 fps with 16 chunks, low graphics can run for 60 fps with 8 chunks (i use i7-2620m & geforce 410m with 8gb ram)

I own the laptop in 2023 - hell I`m using it rn! 6GB of ram goes neck in neck with the CPU in terms of performance If you plan on playing games from 2000-2010 period it`s cool as long as the price is right but you got to cut corners here and there 1080p or 720p60 maxes out the Mozilla, Facebook causes some trouble to it. Paid like $50 for it and taking someone offered me an Asus that`s 3 years younger and in overal better (for $70)- I would have chosen Asus, it wouldn`t be maxing out all the time unlike the Vaio.

Old mobile processors are actual bad compared to desktop counterparts. I can say for sure an i3 2120 can beat it by 200 points in cinebench r20 I got about 650 points form an i3 2120 last month

Yeah, an i3 2120 is capable of running GTA 5 just fine, I think it can get around 40-50 fps avg This one is struggling at 30...
