@@Jaindike Its not a terrible pick for "low power" vista.

I still game on this card till this day. I was playing cyberpunk on it on 100p and got 10fps. It was a great experience.

How the heck that thing even started cyberpunk is a mystery to me

I have a Pegatron GeForce 310! Bought it for $5 at our local pc hardware store :)

I've.. never heard of the 310 before. Didn't know that series existed

Fun fact: i overclocked this card about 100mhz on both core and memory, but it was the 512mb variant. It can even run minecraft dungeons at 480p30 if you drop all the settings drastically via editing the ini file to make it look like a ps1 game. Also, if you have one, don't throw it away. These still sell for a tenner and are useful for workstations without video out
@Jaindike Жыл бұрын
Dang, surprising that it could pull off minceraft Dungeons. I won't be throwing it out, but it's been hard to sell so far

@@Jaindike ofc it depends on ur local market But yeah unlike the gt210 the 6450 supports dx11 so shenanigans are possible

I have this exact card lol, it's mostly a backup since I don't have integrated graphics

Perhaps for future overclocks have a 120mm fan laying over the cards tested too provide some airflow, any 1500 rpm 120mm fan should do well id imagine.
@Jaindike Жыл бұрын
Thing is, the card was reportedly running at a safe temperature. But more airflow couldnt hurt
@Mini-z1994 Жыл бұрын
@@Jaindike Well while gpu core temperature is fine, it was likely the vrm taking power from the pci-e slot stepping it down too the gpu core or memory voltage. Or some of the memory chips that was running hot. Not every part of the gpu has a temperature sensor, specially not simpler cards like these. Gpu-z might show a secondary sensor or several. Like a hotspot temperature report on some cards like my current 1660 super which might be gpu core or one of the memory chips. Or like my older r9 280 it had both vrm,memory & gpu core temperature sensors on gpu-z while it wasn't reported at all in msi afterburner as having any extra temperature sensors.

Ngl it is lowkey funny to see these cards dying while struggling to even put out a decent framerate
@Jaindike Жыл бұрын
lol yeah. I think its the icing on the cake
@JamesSmith-sw3nk Жыл бұрын
A lot of your old cards seem to die on that pc, I wonder if there is a problem with your pci-e slot? A pci-e slot is spec'ed to 90w but limited to 75w. I wonder if there is some sort of a malfunction from the pci-e slot, motherboard or psu? I once had an old oem pc that would "cook & kill" old cards that only used pci-e slot for power. 🤔

Ooh I've never heard of nor considered that before. Considering the types of cards I use its not that big of an issue, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get a better test bench computer
