I’m glad I ran across this video, my 1st ever build I did back in 2014 was with the Athlon X4 860k which I overclocked to 4.5ghz, was good back in 2014 and had it paired with a GTX 660 but it got outdated quickly in 2015

great video! i upgraded from a x4 860k and a gtx 760 to a i9 10850k and titan v this last year and man it feels great to be able to run any game / program without worrying.

I agree. My current PC is an upgraded Alienware, but the only thing from it is my CPU which is an i7-8700. That and a 2070S is miles ahead with what I had before.

the 860k when i bought it was cheaper. the 860k and 760k didnt really have much of a jump but was pretty happy with the custom build i made back in 2014. Thrown everything at it and did some editing. the build was not really meant for gaming, but it handled fairly well as a music workstation.

This was a pretty good close enough to my first PC build. It’s actually a pretty decent experience. You can even make some content if you record with your GPU without it completely tanking the performance.

I have a couple of pc's i built with the x4 860 k still use one of them still use to play games it runs at 4.2 ghx and my 1600 running at 2133 with XMP turned on . plus has the same graphics card you are running plus run cool around 38 to 39 c with a cool master cooler . the motherboard is a Crossblade ranger from ASUS . the mother board you have has lots of bios updates would check about at gigabyte .

Currently using a 860k + 1080Ti + 8GB RAM. Works alright, it is still serviceable. GTA V can do 45fps, Red Dead 2 - 25fps. Fallout 3 and New Vegas can do 60fps locked at highest setting.

Wow..wow..wow..Kaveri in 2022 ? Uploaded about 5 months ago? We're siblings,mate. Mine is A8-7650K locked at 4,0Ghz, but your GPU is better than me, mine is The Great Grandfather of GCN , HD 7870. Nice vid, i prefer any videos which is more reasonable than high end show-off (which the fact is, not everybody can buy those all high end). Keep it up, mate..

Haven't tried it! Not sure if it would be worth it though. The system is very dated, even if I use the GPU for the encoding, I don't think it would output that great.

@@ItsYoshh just curious bc I have the parts to make a very similar build and was thinking about doing it for a stream build because on my main rig I have the Rx 6500xt which they said isn't good for streaming I've heard.

I have a gtx 1080 with that same cpu right now and I get around 45 fps consistently on valorant

its a good processor the 860k just need a videocard better a rx580 its all
