Vergen was a special place that made you really feel the essence of what we mean by socialism. I know this sounds ridiculous to many of you trapped in the deadlock of contemporary discourse but some of us really do still dream of a better tomorrow. And it will be built through a painstaking process in which each of us lay one stone upon another. Witcher 2 made me feel that intuitively instead of just in some heady theoretical way. Respect to the creators because they were true passionate thinkers to make a work of art like this.

Ironically, Communism does not involve a "king" or a "queen" but cooperation to overcome problems, collective sacrifice for the well-being of all and the overcoming of differences. @NAPViolator lol nice one. My point was just that there was a spirit among the citizens of vergen that they were building something new regardless of Saskia. She served as the symbol of it but, were she to buck that spirit, she would be at odds with revolution. So she would either have to ride the wave or try to crush it.

@@willem2242 Unfortunately power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. humans are not capable of maintaining a socialist society at any kind of large scale. There are too many sociopaths and psychopaths who *always* rise to the top, because they are willing to do anything to do so. We are too tribal. At the end of the day, we always look out for ourselves and those we immediately care about more than the masses. How many socialist states need to fail, and how many people need to die before we see that it does not work?
